Independence Day

While I’m a professional, one of my hobbies is songwriting (see this). I wrote this song for Independence Day a couple of years ago.

The king’s men
Have betrayed us
Tricked us out of
Our homes

No one else
Gonna save us
We must stand up
On our own

Divided
We’ve been conquered
For too long
We’ve played their game

United
We’d be invincible
So rise up
And shake off our chains

We’ve been fooled
By the banker
The sheriff
And the priest+

We’ve been ruled
By the con men
The scoundrels
And the thieves

Divided
We’ve been conquered
For too long
We’ve played their game

United
We’d be invincible
So rise up
And shake off our chains

Feel
The power
Streaming out
Through our souls

Now Is
The hour
Come together
And let’s roll

Here we are
In the meadow
It is time to
Decide

From afar
The army’s nearing
Are we slaves or
Will we fight?

Divided
We’ve been conquered
For too long
We’ve played their game

United
We’d be invincible
So rise up
And shake off our chains

Feel
The power
Streaming out
Through our souls

Now Is
The hour
Come together
And let’s roll

+Notes on the words:

I have nothing against priests. I’m only talking about corrupt priests and false prophets.

I have nothing against home town, Main Street bankers. I’m only talking about banskters.

When I talk about “the army approaching”, I’m not talking about fighting our good men and women who honorably serve our country to protect and defend the Constitution and protect our national security. I’m talking about mercenaries who are fighting against the American people.

If you’re an atheist, think of “feel the power streaming out through our souls” as referring to our source of courage, or just change the last word to “soles”.

Notes on the music: The song has a feel like an old Irish fighting song. The drums are similar to U2’s “Bloody Sunday“.

Do not worry about the Priests, I know a-lot of them, ( FOR SOME REASON THEY CONFIDE IN ME) the “good ones” know they are serving Evil. However, just like “all good minions,” they do what they are told. they follow Orders!

There is no discerning People ( good or evil) from the Machine they willingly serve. Just like NAZIS, some may have been good people, but if they “serve EVIL” they are EVIL. The Machine is the Macro and the Micro is Irrelevant. People need to stop being so helpless!

GD … If you all just GREW some Stones, and Stopped Serving, it would all Change! However, your pride has been goaded to prohibit your ability. Sad.

Consequences are Coming, people … And, they will not be Sugar Coated in Nice Song!

You are obviously evil yourself. You can argue this out with your talmudic and byzantine friends while we approach your luxurious hideout by sea and air–is it worse to be merciless or unjust? Floating city? Not for long. Underground city, already gone. You’re on your own jewboy, make your way home the best you can. We are waiting at the airport and surrounding the settlements as we speak. You have killed millions of us and now you will die.

Bring it! I`ll feed you to the alligators! And, I am not Jewish! You idiots will never get past the incompetent TSA!!

Where’s the .wav file? Poems are read. Songs are heard!

  • ICFubar

Is there a tune to the inspiring lyrics? I’ve dabbled myself but my lyrics take more of a ‘f**k them’ approach for their listed crimes. I always liked the “Fish cheer” as a political statement in song form and have wondered where today’s artists are in this battle but then again maybe I’m not tuned to the correct station the hear their songs of protest.

Thanks so much! There was a time when young people thought they could change the world if they just sang loud enough!

      • ICFubar

Public opinion and protest to the Vietnam Genocide eventually was felt in Washington and brought that war to an earlier end than it otherwise would have. It was the worse and best of times.

        • jadan

Yes, the Boomers did have an effect and I’m proud of Country Joe and the life changing psychedelic trips so many experienced, but we didn’t change the world in any fundamental way. War won. Peace lost. There is no democracy. We have a certifiable lunatic for president. The worst of times is waiting in the wings. But it ain’t my fault. I voted for Jill. I eat organic and buy local. Life is good.

          • ICFubar

Us ‘boomers’ fell into the fold when we began pairing off and creating families and all the old indoctrination took hold. Many though kept activism as a part of their life. I became a union activist and sat on the executive of our local after becoming a dyed red in the wool socialist as opposed to big finance and corporate capitalism and its war making ways.

To me all the psychedelic drugs were an entertainment of sorts and I never did experience any universal truth when stoned but did marvel at the hurricane force winds ripping through trees on a calm summer’s evening.

          • jadan

Hilarious! I think an acid trip would be easier than it was for callow youth. Didn’t Aldous Huxley ingest mescaline for the transition? But I’m with you. I wouldn’t do a drug today because you can’t turn it off.

          • ICFubar

I have also heard that Huxley did his share of dropping. I wouldn’t do, and never did, any drug bought off the street. Ours came from a chemistry major, friends older brother, producing pure LSD at a local university chemistry lab. His gal.or was it his sister?, ran a head shop and in the back had one of those multi colored drawn out glass object d’ art, its base was filled with blotter. “Help yourselves boys but no ODs or you won’t have any more.” was her line to us and knowing a good thing when you have it we took her words as the rule of law. This was not a constant thing but rather a rare occasional flight from the trials and tribulations of life. Gawd who could do acid all the time and expect to function in any sort of normal manner?

          • jadan

Lots of people believe they took LSD and claim to have been unimpressed, which usually means they bought something off the street and it wasn’t acid. Don’t know if there’s a serious psychedelic subculture out there today. Leary did his best to make the psychedelic experience constructive. If it is happening today, it’s in deep cover….

          • ICFubar

Or were poisoned with strychnine as a substitute. Of course the CIA experimented with it also often using mental patients as the guinea pigs often deepening their psychosis but with no morals whatsoever about par for their course. I haven’t heard of anyone taking LSD in decades as the drugs of profit today seem to be the meths and of the big pharma oxy opiates besides CIA imported heroin and coke. You can’t go home again but our memories hopefully last as long as we do.

I did some Orange barrel that had strychnine and went to watch El Topo. I don’t know if it was a big mistake, because it was a great movie, but I had to go back the next night to watch it again, you know, like just to make sure. Windowpane, Purple Microdot, Mescaline, Mushrooms, Mr. Natural Blotter Acid (pure and goood)Hash–all in moderation of course. Good times, but no need to repeat, it just looks stupid. Try to age well and stay off the skateboards please. The BHA and BHT were worse than all the drugs I took and today funeral directors are using half as much embalming fluid before they perform their jewish magic trick with the box.

I had a buddy that we had to convince and take to the hospital with strychnine, doubling over from the pain. Love your sense of humor….I think

Who sourced all those psychedelic drug trips?

          • jadan

It was probably Stanley Owsley. It was legal then. My best trip came from the UC Berkeley cancer lab where a friend borrowed the facilities to make up a batch of pure stuff.

          • collette.robert@yahoo.com

            How many doses per batch?

          • Jed Grover

            Naughty behavior …….. I won’t tell anyone.

          • Great question and this should give anyone insight.

NOTE: This video was produced for BoilingFrogsPostcom on October 14, 2011. It is being made available in its entirety here for the first time.

Just as the British Empire was in part financed by their control of the opium trade through the British East India Company, so too has the CIA been found time after time to be at the heart of the modern international drug trade. From its very inception, the CIA has been embroiled in the murky underworld of drug trafficking.

You got it. Stay away from the circus and life is pretty good. I didn’t realize at the time that Idiocracy was a documentary.

        • collette.robert@yahoo.com

The hippies tried to bring their friends home and were vilified. The Manson Operation was, with Kent State, two of their slicker ‘operations’. You fucking rednecks killed Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda, and we all saw you, you goddamn rednecks. And you ride your loud fucking machines up and down the street like you’re some kind of rebels. The rebels would spit in your smooth baby faces and put a Minie ball right between your Irish eyes.

          • ICFubar

Your tough Johnny Reb were not a part of a spontaneous popular movement seeking to end a war and violence by the state. They were mustered by politicians and led by generals and died by the thousands, just as dead as dead can get then and now. They did however have the best music and anthem in”Dixie”. Beats “Turkey in the Straw” all to hell.

      • Zartan

They can, ( it all depends on the song) but Location is key …. “Sing this Song” On Wall Street and You Will Change the World … ” We Dont Need NO Water, Let the Mofo BURN … BURN … MOFO … BURN!!!

With 1-million singing that tune in front of the NYSE, well, You name it, You`ll get it and the Police will go home or Join. Police are not dumb enough to be trampled by 1-million people!

        • collette.robert@yahoo.com

The police have relatives in that crowd and the crowd has relatives in the police, but we are the people and this is our country, not some elitist, right-wing, oligarchy.

    • collette.robert@yahoo.com

You got to be old to be nostalgic–or that’s what I hear. I hit middle age at 62, like the goddamn wall at 20 miles. Coach asked me if I needed anything and I said ‘morphine’–yeah, I can relate. I got tunes without words and words without tunes. It’s weird. I’m like that Taupin guy that needs a John. Wait, that didn’t come out right. I mean, that’s not good either. I guess I’m just a writer and not a musician. Had my guitars stolen along with my father’s binoculars when I was in the loony bin. Nice town.

    I’m afraid that today-
Zerohedge reports that 25% of Americans polled believe
“In 1776 we liberated ourselves from
    (wait for it)
    Mexico.”
I’m actually shocked it wasn’t higher.
But if this fraction is representative-
That’s about the fraction of electorate that installed
    with ewrecktoral college approval
    the last 7 presidents.

My verse Muse died a horrible death as you can tell,
but I know this from before she was born-
    Independence requires both thought and
knowledge based in physical reality and
    needs separated from wants.
Not only is this lacking in quanta suffice-
what we had has being attacked and destroyed.

You want a Song that will change the World?

Here it is … “WE Dont Need NO Water, Let the MOFO BURN … BURN MOFO … BURN!!!

Now, you put 1-million ( a small number, considering P-Riot put 500k in Washington to wear Genitalia on their heads) people in front of the NYSE and Sing that Song … Watch How fast Government Bends over to KISS YOUR ASS!

And, whatever You want, Sky is the limit! Healthcare, Basic Income, President of Your Choosing, Congress to be Arrested … You name it, because if there is no Peace for Bankers, the whole Global Pyramid Scheme comes crashing down on their heads, the NWO will eat itself trying to appease RIOTS! The Saudis Figured this out and they come out “now and then” to protest, and get 1,000-dollar Basic Income Increases to go home … NO BS! Hey, America, it is your money and it will either go to YOU or some saudi prince to give away!

The Best Part … this plan will work and it is almost free from violence.

Damn! I got competition, and this is like Kipling or somebody. I got to step up my game. You think that’s something? I got a killer back on an earlier post but now I forgot it–it’s a side effect of my medication as for a short time I can forget I live in this shithole.

  • Intruders’ independence is such a BS, nothing but injustice for those who were robbed.
People who feel anything honorable to the day are hypocrite.
