Is There A Coup Attempt Underway In America?

Authored by Mike Krieger via Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,

Personally, I’m horrified by the fact that Goldman Sachs goons are in total control of the Trump administration’s economic policy. I’m also horrified that our new President’s first overseas trip will be to the terrorist state of Saudi Arabia, a autocratic, brutal monarchy with undeniable ties to 9/11. I’m likewise disgusted by Attorney General Jefferson Sessions’ oppressive and uncivilized relaunch of the misguided and disastrous “war on drugs.” Finally, I’m very troubled by the fact Mike Flynn attempted to disrupt a military operation using Syrian Kurds to rout ISIS in Raqqa because Turkey didn’t like it, given he was working as a paid agent of Turkey months earlier and never disclosed it.

There are a plethora of things to be deeply concerned about when it comes to Trump, yet the coup attempt against him being launched by elements of the deep state, corporate media and Hillary dead-ender Democrats is more concerning still. It’s obvious what’s happening right now is not a sincere attempt to hold a President accountable, or fight him on policy or personnel choices. Rather, this all seems to be a very deliberate and premeditated attempt to remove him from office.

What’s so troubling about what I just wrote is not so much that I think it, but that it’s becoming accepted truth by a growing number of mainstream Americans. For example, can you believe CNBC actually published a post with the following title?

Here are a few excerpts from the piece:

There is, indeed, a bombshell of a story coming out of the news that President Donald Trump revealed sensitive information during his White House meeting with Russian officials last week. But it’s not that President Trump committed any crime. The really alarming news is that the duly-elected President of the United States appears to be the target of a political coup.

First, let’s be clear: President Trump has been sloppy, arrogant, and just plain misguided plenty of times during his short tenure in office — including the way he handled the firing of FBI Director James Comey and the hiring and firing of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. And if he did unnecessarily compromise the source of the sensitive information he shared with the Russians, shame on him.

But a president cannot be removed from office for arrogance and sloppiness…

Here’s the kicker: None of this is actually working where it counts. Again, we have not one piece of evidence of any impeachable act. And it’s not even truly working in the polls. President Trump’s approval ratings may be lower than any modern president this early in his tenure, but they’re still higher than they were throughout the election. If anything, these constant attacks coming from this obviously angry and potentially illegal place are only strengthening the resolve of Trump’s base of supporters. They elected a guy they believed was truly the enemy of the established political class. And right on cue, the established political class is stopping at nothing to prove them right.

For all the things President Trump has said that have dragged down the level of our American political discourse, this sustained takedown effort is worse. And it’s not clear how this is going to end. Unlike President Trump, the leakers remain anonymous and thus unaccountable. They can presumably go on forever. And President Trump doesn’t seem like he’s going to stop fighting back or irritating and threatening his political opponents.

But don’t fool yourself into thinking this is OK or even tolerable. The bottom line is that we have some very powerful people in Washington who really don’t like how democracy played out this time around and what they do to attack it next isn’t going to be any better than what they’re doing now.

Luckily the American people remain wisely circumspect about all of this. President Trump’s polls aside, the voters are still giving him a decent shot to govern. And unaccountable people in Washington shouldn’t be trying to make that decision for us.

Once again, I want to remind you the above was published at CNBC. Sure it’s a vapid Wall Street oligarch-worshipping rag, but it’s still pretty mainstream.

Moreover, it’s not just CNBC writers and obscure bloggers such as myself who are coming to these sorts of conclusions.

For example, listen closely to what Dennis Kucinich had to say on the topic in a recent interview.

I agree with Dennis completely, and another troubling aspect of all this is that the hysteria incessantly being driven by the corporate press in its attempt to destroy Trump is distracting attention away from genuine scandals. For example, yesterday’s McClatchy story on Mike Flynn’s undisclosed work as a agent of Turkey, and how that may have influenced his foreign policy recommendations appears to be a very real and extremely concerning scandal. Yet it gets buried in the hyperbole and hysteria, and millions of people end up tuning everything out.

The road we’re headed down is unhealthy, counterproductive and extremely dangerous. As is typically the case, you can thank the corporate press.

There is some sort of a power play going on between at least two, possibly more, factions of the hidden, or deep state if you prefer, and Trump will be one of, perhaps, many victims. What troubles me, and mind you I don’t like Trump or his cabinet, is the fact that his potential replacements are even worse. Pence and Ryan do know how Washington works and could get even more restrictive legislation through Congress. That’s one thing that troubles me but even worse is that the neocon and neoliberal interventionists would be in complete control of the military machine. These are trying times and there are many things not being addressed but a power struggle in Washington is something we really don’t need.

    Thank you for this.
I found myself yesterday having to explain the Russian investigation to someone that is greatly alarmed but doesn’t have the time or inclination to research it completely.
(Who was it that said repeat a lie often enough times and it becomes true?)
In explaining it and having to state that I also dislike Trump immensely but that doesn’t make him guilty of what he is accused of and stated that no real or definitive proof has been presented.
I’m also glad to see Dennis K. is still out there and speaking truth to power. I imagine he isn’t a big Trump fan either but his disdain for the Deep State and its manipulations are motivating him to speak out.

The press and media are going for rumors, unsourced reports and BS speculation for ratings and the ad dollars that follow. Not much else interests corporate media than money and ROI. The enemies the don has made and continues to foolishly antagonize are leaking to the press and the press is doing their best to breathlessly, sensationalize their stories . Like the run up to Iraq. You can always count on the press to amphify your agenda for ratings (nothing is as big as covering a war) and ad revenues.

I think what’s going on has something to do with putting in place a new working model, perhaps even officially a second republic. Both Dems and R’s have been failing in the past few elections, failing to convince most Americans that the democracy they represent is working. Obama got elected as an agent of change, a chance to make the country real again. He ended up being just another apparatchnik pawn. If the Dems hadn’t cheated things, Sanders, a seeming outsider, would have run against Trump, a seeming outsider. (I say seeming because really don’t know if they are or are not.)

Having two outsiders of the mainstream duopoly parties running was/is a sure sign that the current Theatre of Democracy is not selling any more. Time for a new production.

I believe they let Trump win because when they take him out, they will also defang many of the Red State rural patriot type supporters of his. If his current supporters are convinced that he has betrayed them, the next regime coming in will be able to put in place a far more oligarchy-friendly setup, eliminate many of the anti-centralist government mechanisms in the first republic, and maybe also get so much support from the urban and youth votes that they can finally dismantle the right to bear arms and freedom of political speech, or whatever.

In any case, this is not a partisan thing going on, it’s something far more important.

“Mike Flynn’s undisclosed work as a agent of Turkey, and how that may have influenced his foreign policy recommendations appears to be a very real and extremely concerning scandal.”
Yes, and the problems with Flynn were made know to the administration from at least the transition period if not before. And yet, he remained in place. Trump communicates with Flynn to this day. It’s all of a piece with the current investigation. It may be ignored on Fox et. al., but not elsewhere.

Donald Trump & US Justice chief Jeff Sessions just learned – as a by-product of Comey events – that Julian Assange & Edward Snowden are frauds created by the CIA in Obama years

So CIA Director Mike Pompeo & Western intel agencies have quickly moved to end the Assange farce … Sweden charges ‘dropped’ suddenly, Rothschild-lawyered Assange ‘free to leave’ London Ecuador Embassy (where he likely wasn’t really ‘living’ except for photos etc)

A few days ago a remarkable memo appeared on PasteBin, by a former US Dept of Justice employee, discussing the dark side of scandal of fired FBI Director James Comey
DOJ Dossier Memo – James Comey hid crimes of paedophile law firms defrauding client millions

This memo apparently wound up being closely read by Trump’s personal lawyers & White House team & the office of US Attorney General … One section of that memo, discussed the ironic situation that Edward Snowden & Julian Assange are now publicly bashing Trump, when both Snowden & Assange are known by every major gov’t to be complete hoaxes & in fact current CIA assets. The memo linked to one of the major reports on these frauds, excerpted on Veterans Today
Edward Snowden, Glenn Greenwald are CIA frauds

This memo by the DOJ veteran, recommended that Trump & US Attorney General Jeff Sessions, be personally informed that Snowden & Assange were hoaxes … and that these embarrassing frauds be wound down

Immediately after this memo detailing a history of major scandal involving paedophile-tied fraud & James Comey – and touching on the Assange-Snowden frauds – we saw

    (1) James Comey backed off & reversed his story, testifying that there was ‘no obstruction of justice’ by Trump

    (2) US Senator John McCain, the deepest of deep staters, announced that it was absurd to talk of ‘impeachment’ of Trump

    (3) Suddenly, the Swedish government – long said to be under US intel control – has ‘dropped’ the ‘rape investigation’ of Julian Assange, they are cancelling everything, no extradition request, Assange is ‘free to leave the London Ecuador Embassy’ where Assange has claimed to be ‘living’ … tho that is apparently another hoax, the Rothschild-lawyered Assange said to be only ‘at the Embassy’ for photos, moved in & out by UK intel when the ‘police watch’ by London plod advise it is a good time

There is apparently still some minor fracas between Assange & UK authorities trying to save face … Snowden no doubt to ‘go home’ soon too … HA! Time to wind down these embarrassing frauds

    • I’m doubtful about the claims made in your comment.

IF Snowden is considered a fraud by the Russian government, don’t you think that they would simply end his safe haven?

    • 200 Years Together

The timing for all this was near ridiculous and blatant.

Still perpetuating all of the old disinformation.

The mere fact that you are stupid enough to call yourself “truthteller” marks you out as a shill.

    • 9-11 was a controlled demolition.

Two links that outline the silent coup and the attack on Trump, not that Trump is in anyway other than controlled and controllable.
