Jill Stein Proved Me Wrong

jill3My last blog post was wrong. As of a week ago, it does matter who is elected president. That’s because one of the candidates has openly called for a new investigation into the crimes of 9/11.

In a recent statement on the subject, Jill Stein made the following important comments and promises:

  • “The families and friends of those who were murdered on 9/11 deserve justice. They also deserve to know the truth.”
  • “Under our administration a new inquiry would have access to the considerable body of responsible independent research that has emerged over the last 15 years.”
  • “We would create an independent 9/11 Commission, not one dominated by members with an interest in protecting the reputation and careers of foreign affairs and intelligence communities.”
  • “It’s time for a full accounting of what happened, and an end to the misguided post-9/11 wars that are actually making us less safe, not more safe.”

In May, a national poll showed that, “An unprecedented 91 percent of voters 28 or younger favor having an independent on the ballot, and 65 percent of respondents are willing to support a candidate who isn’t Clinton or Trump.”

Jill Stein is on the ballot in 44 states. It’s not clear what chance she has given the serious, inherent problems with the U.S. voting process and electronic voting machines. But she is the only candidate discussing what matters to the American people as opposed to what matters to the ruling oligarchy.

As Gore Vidal once said, “There is only one party in the United States, the Property Party … and it has two right wings: Republican and Democrat.” Moving away from that sad and dangerous state of affairs will not be easy but supporting courageous voices in the national discussion helps. To that end, people who want real change need to send the oligarchs a strong message on November 6 by supporting Jill Stein and the Green Party.

Thank you for that post, Kevin. We do not have two legitimate candidates and two spoilers. We have a 4-way race. Labelling one or more of the candidates as spoilers prejudges the vote. The standings, at this point, are largely determined by media bias and, in the case of the Democrats, a stolen primary.

Yes! If the Greens can make a decent showing, maybe they can generate enough support to wield some real third party clout by 2020. Plus Jill Stein’s platform actually makes lots of sense to this ex-Democrat.

I never heard of Jill Stein before.

Her supporters don’t seem to be getting the word out to mainstream people like me.

For Kevin Ryan to say (even only by logically necessary implication) that Jill Stein actually has a possibility of becoming America’s next President is simply bizarre — it places him into the category of the subset of progressives who are suckered to believe that — though neither Ralph Nader nor Ross Perot ever won so much as a single one of the 50 states in the Electoral College — Stein might win enough states to become President. Is he really that stupid — like Nader’s voters were in 2000 etc.?

Times change. I remember not too long ago they said there would never be a black president.

To suggest voting for a Republican or Democrat, Eric – unfortunately makes you the fool. Those parties are past being reformed. The U.S. has the lowest voter turnout in history and the lowest amount ever that identify as a Republican or Democrat. In the next few decades those parties will be EXTINCT.

It is time we let the younger generation take over. It is as simple as that.

Now you listen here, sonny, some of us have been saying that for a long time. Cuz we’re absolutely right. You are too. Vote Stein. It won’t make a difference. The election is already rigged for Hillary or for Trump, but probably Hillary. So why waste your vote on a choice of inevitable slime. Vote your conscience. Vote realistically. Vote for democracy and economic democracy and ecological democracy. Vote Green. Just to pretend it matters. Because you know for sure voting for the designated slime doesn’t.

  • diogenes

Don’t throw your vote away on one of the “two” oligarch puppet robot “candidates.” Make your vote mean something. Will it be counted? Probably not. Would you rather vote for one of the two criminals being shoved down your throat and pretend it’s “democracy”. Go right ahead!

  • The most serious issue with the US political system is not voting machines, voter fraud and vote suppression, but the absence of proportional representation and referendums on the federal level. In this way marginal differences can change the outcome of an election. For example, if Ohio is a swing state, and the race in Ohio is close, a fraud of a mere few thousand votes can decide who will become President of the United States.

Proportional representation means that it is more easy to start new political parties. It means that votes on smaller parties are not wasted. As political parties do not have a majority, they have to cooperate in coalition governments, which reduces political polarisation. And because politicians can be captured by special interests, voters should always be able to have a final say on everything politicians decide if they want to. Look at Switzerland for how to that.

A vote for Hillary or Trump is wasted on corrupt and criminal liars. Unfortunately, that is exactly what the US now deserves, based on how many humans here have been complicit in the “game”. We have been offered a way out, but we can’t take it, we are doomed.

  • Thanks for writing this article Kevin. It is hard for me to believe that so many people go along with the obvious fraud of 9/11/01. For many years now, I have researched and shared the best truth I can about it. The ‘I Am The Face of Truth’ for 9/11 Truth website is a great place to get some good information on the fraud of 9/11/01 and join a great banner campaign to show unity and spread awareness. We create a 9/11 Truth banner for you. See/share the information on my page all you can my friend http://iamthefaceoftruth.com/Michael_Atkinson

  • As much as I stand for the Green Party b/c of the environment, Jill Stein STILL thinks government should control what a woman does with her body & time & that is unacceptable to me.

Government is controlling, government is corrupt & that will NOT change, no matter who is elected. There is NO NEED for government. People need to start taking responsibility for their own society.
