US, Japan, Canada, Australia and 8 Other Countries Sign Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement

The Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) would be horrible for Americans and the people of the world.

But most politicians are thoroughly corruptNeither the Democratic or Republican parties represent the interests of the American people. Both parties ignore the desires of their own bases.

So today, 12 countries – Brunei, Chile, New Zealand, Singapore, Australia      Canada, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, United States and Vietnam – signed the TPP.

They never followed through on their promise of an open and lively debate.

TPP still can be stopped … if the legislative bodies of the signatory nations refuse to ratify it.

Only by raising hell – telling our Senator “No! Hell no!” – can we stop this monster.

Certainly, Bernie Sanders will make his voice heard and further distinguish himself from establishment Hillary and the rotting corpse of the so-called “free trade”, “free market” status quo.

  • FEBRUARY 2, 2016 Trade Officials Sign the TPP But It’s Still Up to Lawmakers to Reject It

Top officials of countries involved in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) are convening in New Zealand today to sign the final agreement. But really this ceremony is just a formality. We knew since November, from the day they announced a completed deal and made the text public shortly thereafter, that they would do this. These officials have not been accountable to the public. They have remained steadfast in excluding public participation and ignoring all calls for transparency over the more than five years of TPP negotiations. Because of this opaque process, trade negotiators were able to fill the agreement with Hollywood and Big Tech’s wish lists of regulatory policies without having to worry about how they would impact the Internet or people’s rights over their digital devices.

    • Can this be summed up as , politicians are breaking their sworn ”oath of office”… ?

Their oath of office is meant to mean something but then is there to uphold this?

Isn’t their some sort of safety mechanism in place and if so, why is this safety mechanism failing, exactly how are politicians whom are not doing their duty meant to be held accountable?

      • Personally I believe their oath’s are taken for the system and too the system of government, and ‘NOT’ the people of the United States!

This is how I come to this conclusion. USA TODAY October 23, 2014 Special report: America’s perpetual state of emergency

WASHINGTON — The United States is in a perpetual state of national emergency. Thirty separate emergencies, in fact. An emergency declared by President Jimmy Carter on the 10th day of the Iranian hostage crisis in 1979 remains in effect almost 35 years later.

        • The long emergency that keeps on being extended, like an ambulance or a fire engine that never turn their sirens off but continually use it as a method to get through the busy traffic.

As for the oath of office, aren’t all politicians required to swear an oath to protect and uphold the constitution, to be loyal to the nation that employs them as opposed to catering to corporate interests.

For example, Some oaths of office are a statement of loyalty to a constitution or other legal text or to a person or other office-holder (e.g., an oath to support the constitution of the state, or of loyalty to the king). Under the laws of a state it may be considered treason or a high crime to betray a sworn oath of office.

The long emergency provides a shallow excuse for disregarding their sworn loyalty.

My question is open to anyone, how can politicians be held accountable to their oaths since they are not respecting that oath as required, and for quite some time for that matter.

          • This was another executive action taken back on August 15, 1971, and I believe you should know your answer now.

Nixon Ends Bretton Woods International Monetary System

On August 15, 1971, President Nixon announced on TV 3 dramatic changes in economic policy. He imposed a wage-price freeze. He ended the Bretton Woods international monetary system. And he imposed a temporary surcharge (tariff) on all imports. The Bretton Woods system was created towards the end of World War II and involved fixed exchange rates with the U.S. dollar as the key currency – but also a role for gold linked to the dollar at $35/ounce.

Only by raising hell can we stop this monster.

Seems that this blog is now appealing to SEDITIOUS SPEECH.

sedition, n. (l4c) 1. An agreement, communication, or other preliminary activity aimed at inciting treason or some lesser commotion against public authority. 2. Advocacy aimed at inciting or producing – and likely to incite or produce – imminent lawless action. Black’s Law Dictionary Ninth Edition

During times of war and under the grounds of National Security, any form of dissent can be associated with Sedition and the subsequent ground(s) for Insurrection; thus individuals who advocate seditious activities will be tried under the Military Tribunal system. Read the contents of the U.S. Code: Title 50 – WAR AND NATIONAL DEFENSE, placing emphasis on CHAPTER 13—INSURRECTION (§§ 201 to 204–226) —

In legal terms the United States of America is currently in a State of War: Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) —

What is your point, Porno? This treasonous trade agreement is not law. We can raise all the hell we like with no sedition involved. It is our duty, in fact, to defend the Constitution from this piece of shit treaty and those who support it.

      • truthtime

Maybe “Vito Pornocco” is an Oligarch’s alt.

        • ahuxley

Or maybe he/she is nothing more than a pathetic keyboard shill who prostitutes for the oligarchy at a nickle a post.
Either way he/she should be ignored.

      • ahuxley

Yeah, it looks like Porno can quote and interpret statutes but conveniently overlooks the fact that these so-called trade agreements give supra-constitutional power to private sector banking cartels and transnational corporations.

        • So, my interpretation of these secretly negotiated FTA’s has always been that this has amounted to treason and sedition, I have stated that for years.

I’ve communicated with people who claimed to be legal professionals but whom have not disagreed with this, instead, and here is the thing, they’ve stated that this would be a hard thing to prove in an actual court of law.

To me its perfectly obvious, they’ve broken their oath of office, therefore we need to consider if this is really a matter relating to treason and sedition.

          • ahuxley

I know that Presidents and military personnel take an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution and I’m pretty sure that members of congress also take the same oath.
These so-called “trade agreements” violate the constitution in so many ways. I’m not a legal professional, but it seems clear to me that this is an obvious breach of oath.

          • I totally agree, who, or how will they be held accountable to breaking their oath of office?

It more than appears that our respective politicians are not looking after the needs of their ”electorates” but that of fictional characters such as the big corporations that are representing the financial elite the transnational investment class, none of these characters are even allowed to vote in elections so why do they able to bent government to their will in closed and private tribunals where they use their own officials.

No they do not represent the interests of the electorates that they swore an oath to protect, instead they’re deliberately breaking it.

Far too many politicians have proven to harbor corporate ambitions.

    • ahuxley

No…! In “Constitutional” terms “War” must be officially “Declared” by “Congress”.
The U.S. Congress has declared war only 5 times:

The War of 1812; The Mexican War, 1846; The Spanish-American War, 1898; World War I; World War II.

Please give us all a break and kindly stow the sophistry.

    • I’ll say that the entire and secretly negotiated yet deceptively termed Free Trade Agreements introduced to compliment the fallacious GWOT amount to treason and sedition.
