US criminal oligarchy: top 20 Americans own more than bottom 50%, 0.1% own more than 90%; ~$30 TRILLION stored in ‘tax havens’

hat tip: John Hankey (creator of Dark Legacy, the best JFK assassination documentary I’ve seen)

US “leaders” in government, banking/finance, and media are obvious criminals that should be legally stopped by arrests for the following Emperor’s New Clothes obvious crimes:

These crimes annually cost millions killed, billions harmed, and trillions looted, with recent history continuing literal centuries of US lie-began Wars of Aggression that involved nearly all families in two horrific global wars for colonial empire.

We can add the following economic data for public demand of arrests:

But wait, there’s more:

For Americans still zombiefied to “believe” in America, please embrace the reality that 40% of US children live at least one year of their lives in under-measured poverty, while oligarchs most responsible literally laugh in grandiose glee of the poverty they euphemise as “income inequality.” Please absorb this 1-minute reality check:

More game-changing economic data that confirm what we receive for economic leadership is literal criminal fraud:

6-minute video of wealth inequality in the US:

I could go on to literally ~100 areas of crucial concern; most showing obvious criminal acts requiring arrests to lawfully stop ongoing horrific damages and deaths.

We the People should be demanding obvious solutions:

  • Arrests of .01% “leaders” for obvious crimes centering in war, money and lies (4-part series on arrests with videos).
  • Leveraging a reclaimed media, continue arrests with generous plea bargains and Truth & Reconciliation for testimony, documentary evidence, and physical evidence to best put the “Big Picture” together in preparation to build the brighter future for all Earth’s inhabitants’ success.
  • SOLUTIONS: the .01% with corporate media have suppressed solutions documented beginning with Benjamin Franklin how government can abundantly operate without taxes: monetary and credit reform allow the public to have near-instant prosperity: full-employment, zero public deficits and debt, the best infrastructure we can imagine, falling prices, and release of public TRILLIONS held in “rainy day” accounts. Full documentation here and here.

In just 90 seconds, former US Marine Ken O’Keefe powerfully states the “very obvious solutions” to US/UK/Israel unlawful Wars of Aggression: arrest the obvious criminal leaders (video starts at 20:51, then finishes this episode of Cross Talk):

Thank you Carl Herman for this excellent presentation of basic facts that have been hidden from the American people for over 100 years by the traitor hirelings of the media and the educational establishment (as much as and more than, and more importantly than, the psychopathic whores who find employment in America’s corrupt oligarchically usurped and subverted government) and thank you for re-posting the first video, which shows us in plain sight who exactly makes up this crew of traitorous predators and just exactly how they regard their prey and victims.

I also commend your presentation of the statistical realities of the criminal maldistribution of wealth that has been in place in America since the 1890s but I have one MAJOR SUGGESTION. The reason that 20 Americans (or anyways, people who call themselves Americans — how many of them are actually “dual” citizens is an interesting question) — the reason these 20 people own more than 150 million Americans — 50% of us — is because OVER HALF OF US HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BESIDES THE SHOES ON OUR FEET ETC.

This is an extremely salient fact, with tremendous political implications and force, which you should emphasize in your discussion. In the most literal of senses, over half of Americans — in hard times (like in the 90s, the 30s, and now) approaching TWO THIRDS of Americans — HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. And that means we have NOTHING TO LOSE if we overturn the crooked tables that loot our lives from cradle to grave. It is key that we wake up to this fundamental fact.

Thank you again, Carl Herman, for light in darkness and a vox clamantis in desertis.

You’re welcome, bro. Do you have particular documentation for the fact that most Americans “ain’t got shit” that you recommend I add?

      • diogenes

Sure, Carl. Here it is in a nutshell.

At the end of the Civil War the distribution of wealth in America reflected
“the American dream” as something approaching a reality. The wealthiest 2%
of the population held 5% of the wealth. This fact is cited in a pamphlet
by Minnesota Congressman, Charles A. Lindbergh (the aviator’s father), Why
is Your Country at War and What Happens to You after the War and Related
Subjects (Washington, D.C., National Capital Press, 1917).

The rise of the financial power centered in Wall Street and of corporate
finance and consolidation brought it about that this situation was “changed,
changed utterly” by 1890. In 1890, South Dakota’s first senator, a
progressive, added a clause to the bill funding the Census that instructed
the Bureau to determine the distribution of wealth in the United States.
This was the only time the Census ever did this, since the money power and
their hirelings in Congress have prevented it ever since. Pettigrew’s
entertaining memoir makes instructive reading for American patriots: Richard
        F. Pettigrew, Imperial Washington: The Story of American Public Life from
        1870-1920 (Kerr, Chicago 1922; rpr. Arno 1970).

In 1896 a scholar at the University of Wisconsin — that shining light of
American progressivism – Charles B. Spahr, used the data produced by the
1890 Census in his book, An Essay on The Present Distribution of Weath (New
York, Crowell, 1896) p. 70. This shows that the bottom 44% of Americans
owned, on average, 3% of the national wealth (while the top 1% owned over
50% — over 20 times more than it had 30 years before: this was the reality
of “Reconstruction”: America was reconstructed as a plutocratic oligarchy).

In 1915 the Commission on Industrial Relations, created by the most
progressive Congress America ever had (1908-1912), published its Final
Report and Testimony (Washington, Government Printing Office, 1916) in 11
huge volumes of testimony and evidence and one summarizing its findings.
Substantiating and extending the work of economist Willford Isbell King, The
Wealth and Income of the People Of The United States (NY, Macmilan, 1915),
it reports that in 1900 the bottom 65% of Americans owned, on average, 8% of
the national wealth (most of it concentrated in the top 15% of them).

In 1926 the Federal Trade Commision of the Department of Commerce, under
Secretary Herbert Hoover, produced a report, National Wealth and Income
(Washington, D.C., 1926), which showed that in 1925 the 76% of Americans at
the bottom of the plutocratic pile owned, on average, under 7% of the
national wealth, most of it, again, as always in plutocratic America,
concentrated at the top (of the bottom).

Political and economic forces (excuse the redundancy) managed to prevent
another such study for almost 30 years: Ah, the American Free Press! And,
especially, Ah, American academic institutions, those hounds on the trail of

In 1953 Robert J. Lampman published a new study, The Share of Top
Wealth-Holders in National Wealth, 1922-1956 (Princeton, Princeton
University Press, 1962). Lampman reports that in the early 1950s the bottom
50% of Americans owned 17% of national wealth. This shift reflects the
change brought about by the tax policies adopted during FDR’s 3rd and 4th
administrations, and Truman’s, to fund the Second World War and the rise of
the Security State, but it also greatly exaggerates the change. As later
investigators have pointed out, Lampman’s study was based on probate
statistics and this skewed its view of wealth on the bottom. On this see
Ferdinand Lundberg, The Rich and the Super-Rich: A Study in the Power of
Money Today (New York, Lyle Stuart, 1968).

An investigation by economists Edward N. Wolff & Marcia Marley — “Long-Term
Trends in U.S. Wealth Inequality: Methodological Issues and Results” pp.
765-844, in Robert E. Lipsey & Helen Stone Tice, The Measurement of Saving,
Investment, and Wealth (Chicago, University of Chicago Press, 1989) Table
15.6, p. 786 — spans another generation. It shows that in 1962 the bottom
40% of Americans owned 4.5% of the national wealth and, in 1983 owned 8%.

In 2011 a new study was reported in the media, in a veiled and fragmented
fashion so that it was not possible to see the whole picture from any one
report. However, by assembling the pieces from Nicholas Kristof, “A Hedge
Fund Republic,” New York Times (website) November 17, 2011; “Where Did All
The Money Go,” BBC website, November 17, 2011; and “Occupy protestors say it
is 99% v 1%,” Guardian website, November 16, 2011, it was possible to
determine that, in 2010, the bottom 50% of Americans owned under 1% of the
        national wealth.

A study published in 1990, examing all studies of this question to date —
        F. Thomas Justin & Kathleen A. Kuester, “Differences In The Measurement of
Wealth,” Federal Reserve, Finance And Economics Discussion Series 116 (March
1990) — shows that all studies seriously underestimate holdings at the top
and therefore also overestimate holdings at the bottom.

A useful website for beginning to explore this issue is maintained by
University of California Santa Cruz professor William Domhoff —

The acknowledged expert on this subject in America today is economist Edward
Wolff. Three important studies of his are the one with Marcia Marley, cited
        above, and:

Edward N. Wolff, “Recent Trends in Household Wealth in the United States,”
Levy Economics Institute of Bard College Working Paper No. 502 (June 2007).

Edward N. Wolff, “Recent Trends in Household Wealth in the United States,”
Levy Economics Institute of Bard College Working Paper No. 589. (March

As this survey of the history of the study of this question shows, over the
past 125 years the bottom half of Americans have never possessed more than
8% of the national wealth, by the most generous estimate in the best of
times. Today, 50% of us, together, own less than 1% of the national wealth.
That is, we have been totally dispossed by the criminal financial oligarchy
(capital is New York City) which seized control of the American economty in
the generation following the Civil War and which has since usurped,
subverted and displaced our national government.

We are not alone in this dispossession: approaching 90% of all wealth in
America today is held by 10% of Americans. This means that the so called
“middle class” — approximately the 30% of us between the 60th and 90th
percentile — owns not much more than 10% of the wealth: that is, to be a
member of the American middle class is to possess, on very unevenly
distributed average, about one third of a fair and equitable share in the
wealth of America. Over half of us possess less than a tenth.

The top 2% possess about 60% of America’s national wealth, overwhelming by
inheritance. The top one tenth of one percent, one in a thousand, possesses
over 25%, and the core controlling interest in the central financial,
industrial, commercial, mercantile, public utility and “service” sectors —
about 13% — is owned by one person in ten-thousand: 16,000 families among
        300 million of us.

It is little short of miraculous that such a tiny proportion of a population can so totally victimize the rest of us. It takes a powerful lot of lies and a carefully cultivated squad of hired liars. It also requires that America imprison more of us than any other country in the world and that American police kill more of us than any other police in the world. It requires that we have third world rates of infant mortality and crumbling public health rates generally. And much else.

Is there a more pathetic spectacle on Planet Earth than this craven submission to vampire filth?

America is controlled by Judea! The American population just worship their Oligarch, because they are so brainwashed that they think they have a chance just to become one of them.

Meanwhile it is O.K. to call uniformed US military murderers – heroes.

        • Carl_Herman

Wow! Want to package this into a guest article with title and best documentation links you can find? What is your background, diogenes? This is excellent summarization of our history 🙂

        • Zaphod Braden

Judea is not that tiny. (1) They always conceal themselves as another group. The “russian” mafia is Jewish. MOST of the WWII “refugees” coming to America were Jews calling themselves french, Finnish.(2) Since 6MILLION did NOT die in the holocost …….. as documented by the OFFICIAL reduction from 4 to 1 million at Auschwitz JUST TO START ………

        • Loomy

WOW!That is an excellent post so full of information and facts that are little known (surprise, surprise!) and an indictment on America and any of it’s so called values that have it seems no real value or substance in reality.

I live in Australia which luckily is a far more equal and fair society and whilst not without its problems puts more value on the US than on the ME. And it shows….

Central planning always ends this way.
More central planning, supposedly ‘different’ won’t fix it either.
    “We fixed some folk’s”?

    • Carl_Herman

“central planning” is a straw man argument, iseeitfx. Do you have an idea of what we should use for money and credit after we win? I understand it’s unimaginable to have transparent data and public education to understand money, and that said, what do you suggest we do?

  • Zaphod Braden

“They can’t take it with them” so give them a choice ………….

I remember a political cartoon that said just the opposite. I’ll set it up for you…William Casey former head of the CIA had just passed away and there’s a couple of spooks that are looking at his freshly dug grave when one says to the other, “Who says you can’t take it with you?”…

      • Zaphod Braden

that was memories and knowledge ……. and Casey can HOPE it was not Karma and Soul.

It is the shameful and embarrassing reality…NO! It is the Heinous and Unforgivable Crimes and Greed of these people that have created the Reality we live in and under today. It is also the craven accepting and obeying masses of rich western Societies that have helped make this horrible reality for so many as so Few of us who live so well (in comparison) go about out western consumerist ways with hardly a thought for the majority of mankind whose backs we ride on for our simple pleasures that most will never know or envision. It is NOT JUST THE ELITE who are to blame and if we are honest with ourselves we also carry responsibility for what has happened and been complicit in its happening.I am a Middle Class Australian and compared to most I am the Elite…I give 35% of my Income to the poor and charities…I know how lucky I am compared to 90% of Humanity, more of us should also recognises just how lucky they are compared to most. Yes there are specific elites and ultra rich to Blame , but that doesn’t mean the rest of us should not do MORE and Help those who need it it so much more than we will ever know.
