UN Says Saudi/U.S. Led Coalition Responsible for Most Civilian Deaths In Yemen

Saudi Arabia is leading a coalition against the Houthis in Yemen.  The U.S. is providing most of the weapons used in the conflict.

Reuters reports today:

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights told the U.N. Security Council on Tuesday that a Saudi-led coalition’s military campaign in Yemen appeared to be responsible for a “disproportionate amount” of attacks on civilian areas.

Speaking at the council’s first public meeting on Yemen since the Saudi-led bombing campaign began nine months ago, Zeid Ra’ad al Hussein said he had “observed with extreme concern” heavy shelling from the ground and air in civilian areas of Yemen including the destruction of hospitals and schools.

Indeed, we noted in September that the U.S. and its coalition of Mideast dictators have killed 13 times more Yemeni civilians than Al Qaeda.

And in the disinformation sewer formerly the newspaper the Guardian today they publish an opinion piece declaring the Saudi Horror state the only force that can destroy ISIS/Daash, and abusing those who are ‘lying’ in claiming that Saudi Arabia had anything to do with Daash’s creation. I suppose the creature, a Saudi ‘academic’ (how’s that for an oxymoron?) wants to hang on to his head. The lies are reaching a sort of climax of hysteria and extremity, as the planet drowns in Evil.
