Book review: ‘Cancer Vortex’: industry history to devour profits, lives

73-minute documentary: Cancer: the forbidden cures

Author Ken Anton delivered powerful history in his novel Popsicle Man of US oligarchs with Emperor’s New Clothes’ obvious crimes centering in war and money. His new novel, Cancer Vortex, provides similar powerful history of the medical oligarchs who block medically and legally proven cancer cures in order to protect industry profits in the annual billions.

As many in alternative media document, so-called “health” oligarchs act against public interest in obvious ways when the facts are examined. For example, every economic cost-benefit analysis concludes Americans would save from $100 billion to $300 billion annually if we had universal single-payer health care for all rather than “health” “care” oligarchs consuming ~one-third of all payments.

To continue with this familiar example to anyone who examines bills for medical “care,” stories that point to tragic-comic cost increases and cancellations strengthen the case for criminal investigation of financial gains from government insiders at the expense of the public they’re sworn to serve.

A related problem is the cartel of pharmaceutical companies colluding with our government “leaders” for padded industry profits. Dr. Marcia Angell, former Editor in Chief of the New England Journal of Medicine and currently a Senior Lecturer at Harvard Medical School documents:

The combined profits for the ten drug companies in the Fortune 500 ($35.9 billion) were more than the profits for all the other 490 businesses put together ($33.7 billion).

Dr. Angell concludes that US government will never provide universal health care because both political parties’ “leadership” obeys health insurance companies’ lobbyists rather than legislate for the public good. These details of “health care” comprise just one of ~100 crucially important areas where the 99% are being mocked, harmed and looted.

Cancer Vortex documents the cancer industry history, conservative and non-controversial in content, intermixed in novel form with three case studies. By “conservative and non-controversial” history, I mean that I’m unaware of academic argument about the occurrences of the facts presented in the story.

The controversy about cancer cures comes from the entirely subjective interpretations of what happened, and choices by US corporate media to omit these legally and medically demonstrated cures of cancer (more documentation here). From the book’s press release, these cures include:

  • Dr Royal Rife
  • Essiac Tea
  • Hoxsey Regimen
  • Dr Linus Pauling — Vitamin C
  • DMSO and Vitamin C
  • Budwig Protocol
  • Cesium Chloride — High pH Therapy
  • Gerson Therapy
  • Vitamin B17 Amygdalin
  • Burzynski Antineoplaston Therapy

Also from the press release:

Those subjected to orthodox therapy without being given a choice are trapped in the Cancer Vortex with little chance of being cured. Natural therapies are available and the book highlights some of the most effective. One must realize that cancer is not some foreign invader but a part of our biological process that has run amuck. It can be cured with proper knowledge and self discipline. Dr. Otto Warburg (Nobel Prize in  Medicine) recommends a solution and makes a startling revelation: “The prevention of cancer requires no government help and no extra money.”

Mention Dr. Folkman’s War: Angiogenesis and the Struggle to Defeat Cancer by Robert Cooke with foreward by C. Everett Koop.

Since Dr. Folkman made his discovery many decades ago, we need to hurry, because with Fukushima and New Mexico’s WIPP radiation events, cancers will become widespread faster. Time to contain these radiation dangers and adapt better cures for people and animals.

    from: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judah_Folkman
Moses Judah Folkman… was an American medical scientists best known for his research on tumor angiogenesis, the process by which a tumor attracts blood vessels to nourish itself and sustain its existence. He founded the field of angiogenesis research, which has led ot the discovery of a number of therapies based on inhibiting or stimulating neovascularization.
    snip
In 1971, he reported in the New England Journal of Medicine that all cancer tumors are angiogenesis-dependent. If a tumor could be stopped from growing its own blood supply, he surmised, it would wither and die. Though his hypothesis was initially disregarded by most experts in the field, Folkman persisted with his research.

After more than a decade, his theory became widely accepted and is now being exploited in the treatment of a growing number of diseases….

Folkman pioneered the use of interferon to heal hemagiomas, growths that often threaten the lives of infants. His research has led to the development of progressively more potent compunds, such as angiostatin, endostatin, vasculostatin, caplostatin and lodamin, that have successfully halted the growth of tumors in laboratory mice. Two angiogenesis inhibitors based on Dr. Folkman’s hypotheses and developed by Genentech, Lucentis and Avastin, are now FDA-approved for use in age-related macular degeneration and some metastatic cancers respectively.

Over 50 angiogenesis inhibitors–including endostatin, angiostatin, 2ME2 (Panzem), and a throbospondin analogue–are in clinical trials today for cancer treatment, including a number with unanticipated anti-angiogenic effects. These include the anti-inflammatory drug celecoxib (Celebrex), rosiglitazone (Avandia), a drug commonly used to treat Type 2 diabetes; doxycycline, a common antibiotic; and some cancer drugs that also have other mechanisms of action, inlcuding Erbitux, Herceptin, Velcade and Tarceva.

Fukushima and New Mexico’s WIPP radiation events require that we solve the two problems of containing Radiation from nuclear waste storage, nuclear power plants and war, and stopping/reducing cancer due to this further radiation exposure. A third related problem we need to solve is the need for massive money to better engineer radiation containment and cancer treatment–a public government DEBT-FREE, INTEREST-FREE money such as described by http://www.monetary.org/ , http://www.monetary.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/HR-2990.pdf and http://monetary.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/DesignOpenMacro.pdf . We will need to protect our politicians who do this for the common good.
