Greenwald: Clinton Will Be President, then We’ll Get a Gay President

Partisan Politics Is Just a Distraction

The “deep state” and “oligarchs” control America.

Political elections have become “bread and circuses” to distract the American people … and to give them the illusion that they have “choice”.

The mainstream Republican and Democratic parties both oppose core American desires. All you need to know about the phony Red-versus-Blue team dog and pony show is that Wall Street would be happy with either Hillary Clinton or Jeb Bush … but is desperate to stop Elizabeth Warren and Rand Paul.

I have long believed that the powers-that-be will keep on repackaging the exact same policy in different suits. Obama is exactly the same as Bush in most respects. The differences are superficial and stylistic.

Bush was the Texas good-old-boy version of the teleprompter reader for the powers-that-be.

Obama is the articulate African-American version. (Raised by a father who helped civil rights protesters in the 1960s, I was very happy that a black man won the presidency. But I’ve come to realize that Obama is just a spokesman for the corrupt oligarchs, just like Bush).

And Hillary Clinton will be the female version of the same ‘ole thing. (I’m all for women’s rights … but – as progressive writer Eric Zuesse points out – she’s horrible.)

Glenn Greenwald explains:

Hillary is banal, corrupted, drained of vibrancy and passion. I mean, she’s been around forever, the Clinton circle. She’s a fucking hawk and like a neocon, practically. She’s surrounded by all these sleazy money types who are just corrupting everything everywhere. But she’s going to be the first female president, and women in America are going to be completely invested in her candidacy. Opposition to her is going to be depicted as misogynistic, like opposition to Obama has been depicted as racist. It’s going to be this completely symbolic messaging that’s going to overshadow the fact that she’ll do nothing but continue everything in pursuit of her own power.

They’ll probably have a gay person after Hillary who’s just going to do the same thing.

(Greenwald is openly gay. So he can’t be accuses of being homophobic.)

But how can the powers-that-be preselect the president, when the people vote every 4 years

Well, only candidates who are “safe” in the eyes of the oligarchs are promoted or allowed to run, and discussion is limited to “safe” topics.

And they may use other tactics as well.

“But how can the powers-that-be preselect the president, when the people vote every 4 years”.

First of all, the “people” don’t vote. Less than half the electorate will “cast a ballot” on a voting machine. There is no record of your choices. No recount is possible The fact that you voted is not that important. The people who count the votes are important. Bush was not chosen by the people. Paper ballots proved inconvenient. The electoral apparatus is designed to manipulate the vote count, not actually count it. Exit polls would be an accurate way to count and that is why they have been eliminated. Those who count the votes actually engage in the creation of a plausible narrative to explain the outcome of the faux vote count.

People do not chose every four years. The vote is manipulated to ratify the choices made by those who handle the popular perception and create the plausible narrative. The party decides who will be a candidate. Would a candidate other than the chosen one ever be nominated at the party convention? No. Not today.

We must eliminate the electroral apparatus as we know it and institute direct popular voting, democratic voting. Each voter is a bitcoin, a unique and anonymous identification. Every election could be audited to prove that it accurately reflected the votes made. We have to get rid of the system we have and replace it with one that cannot be manipulated to the same extent.

A sufficient number of states have signed on to create a constitutional convention. 2/3’rds, 34. Let’s create a revolution, let’s create a democracy.

Even if voting could be guaranteed to be fair and above board it only serves to legitimize government. Universal suffrage is what the oligarchs crave, because who can deny them, when all have had the opportunity to vote? And if they oppose the will of the people, they’ll just be voted out next cycle, right? I should live so long, but I doubt I will. I refuse to belive that there isn’t a better alternative than the sordid system we have today. Think, people.

Yes, the vote is the means to legitimize government. If you’ve got a better method, let the world know. The sordid system we have now is not fair nor above board, though it does claim to be universal. A direct popular vote that delivers actual verifiable numbers would be an electoral system we have never had in this country. The founders were oligarchs, you know, who did not want direct popular democracy. We can at least give it a try, unless of course, you have a better idea.

Perfect piece that says it all in a nutshell…great writing.

First of all, the question should be asked whether the parlimentary process itself is flawed. C’mon, it’s a bunch of (rich white) people who have carte blanche to make up the rules as they go along. Does any sentient being really think any good can come from that?

Second, what a bunch of hysterical BS about women and gay people. For goodness’ sake.

Third, who the fsck is Eric Zuesse and why is he given any credibility at all? Has anybody heard of him before a month ago or so?

What is happening to my beloved blog?

Greenwald calls himself ‘fearless’, but would never dream of touching the 9/11 myth. He points out tirelessly that everything since 9/11 has been a lie, but would never dream of crossing the line into the taboo territory of suggesting 9/11 wasn’t what it was cracked up to be.

    • Kurt

Well, given the level of US aggression and warship in the world, the 9/11 is a drop in the ocean.

      • heinrich6666

It is. Killing 3,000 is nothing compared to 2 million Iraqis. But why then the taboo?

  • Adam Goodspeed

We desperately need some random citizen representation in our government. A way to have candidates randomly selected for positions that constituents can then vote on. Those randomly selected could have the option of running or choosing a replacement, but it would allow a much more open election system.

Ron Paul was given the ‘treatment’ by the mainstream Republicrats. He did not have a chance when the Republican Rules were changed to sink Paul. That was not the only criminal tactic used.
Then there is Scytl in Spain doing many of the U.S. states vote counting. Bum machines help out also, double voting and dead people’s votes, Panther’s intimidation etc. etc.

In March 2012 – Fred Karger 61, the openly Republican Jewish gay politician – announced his candidacy for the 2012 Presidential election.

Many Presidents have swung both ways.
