President Carter: Bush Didn’t Win in 2000

Many commentators – including both liberal and conservative  Supreme Court justices such as Sandra Day O’Connor –  believe that the Supreme Court wrongfully threw the election to Bush.  Many have called it the “worst Supreme Court decision in history”.

Liberals also believe that the “Brooks Brothers Riot” against the recount was a dirty trick by high-level Republican operatives (and see this):

http://www.truthmove.org/workspace/photos-content/preppy_riot.jpg

But the elephant in the room which most Democrats refuse to consider is election fraud.  This is odd, given that there is substantial evidence that election fraud has been widespread in the U.S. in recent years.

Why won’t they admit that election fraud is widespread?

Perhaps because they benefit from the false appearance of free and fair elections. As Sonoma State University professor and Project Censored Director Peter Phillips noted in 2005:

There is little doubt key Democrats know that votes in 2004 and earlier elections were stolen. The fact that few in Congress are complaining about fraud is an indication of the totality to which both parties accept the status quo of a money based elections system. Neither party wants to further undermine public confidence in the American “democratic” process (over 80 millions eligible voters refused to vote in 2004)…. Future elections in the US will continue as an equal opportunity for both parties to maintain a national democratic charade in which money counts more than truth.

A more cynical view: the Democratic “leadership” may simply hope to be able to outspend the Republicans in the election fraud arm’s race.

We historians have not even a hypothesis to explain it. However, the one put forth here — that Democrats accept this mounting wave of electoral fraud, which had begun under Nixon, accept it because they think it’s an equal-opportunity crime, which can equally be used by progressives — is rejected by historians, because there is no evidence for it whatsoever, and because it is so obviously false: throughout the world, and throughout history, electoral fraud helps conservative political parties and harms progressive ones.

    • USA_objector

You mean to say that the Dems would NEVER engage in election fraud? Yeah, only Coke would do that, not Pepsi. It depends who controls the diebold machines. Red state blue state red state blue state.

      • wunsacon

There are minor differences between Brand-D and Brand-R. Maybe one of the ways plutocrats rule is by convincing a small portion of voters to judge both brands to be the same, so that these voters don’t support Brand-D — the one that even occasionally opposes plutocracy. This goes back to Eric’s point about how Nader was *one* of the factors leading to Gore’s loss.

This strategy works only because we don’t use instant run-off voting. If we had IRV, Nader voters would’ve listed Gore as their 2nd choice.

    • wunsacon

      >> can equally be used by progressives

I don’t think progressives would. But, Team-D? No one else at Team-D seriously challenged Obama during the primary. That makes Team-D a party to his crimes.

    • Name

So historians agree that electoral fraud only helps the party you’re opposed to. I guess that no one could really respond to that.

    • Bev

The right-wing owned voting machines select during Primaries also. As Lynn Landes suggests it seems that Conservative, right-wing Democrats or DINOs, help protect those machines as it serves their interests and gives a veneer on accountability that does not exist.

Lynn Lanes: “And evidence is mounting that elections in America have been computer
programmed to prefer conservative candidates of both political parties.”

I remember in the 2008 Primaries, Dennis Kucinich was way ahead in the polls, way ahead of Obama and Hillery Clinton. It took more than a mocking Wolf Blitzer to push him out. Also, what were Obama and Hillery Clinton doing in Texas for the week of disputed results because Texas has both a primary and a caucus system which divided between the two. What promises were made to the Texas (Bush) politicians? Remember how Obama was all “No one is above the law” speaking about Bush. Well, then Obama more deeply entrenched those very horrible laws to make sure that when Jeb runs he will have all the totalitarian tools he wants still in place.

      • Bev

If we had open voting or hand-counted paper ballots posted in public, in precinct on primary night, Kucinich would have already solved this deliberate economic crisis, and solved it for the benefit of all people, not the criminal class of bankers. See: http://www.monetary.org/ and http://www.monetary.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/HR-2990.pdf . And, Kucinich would have applied the law equally.

Maybe Al Gore and Dennis Kucinich ought to get together and openly talk about all this, and consider running together, though I prefer the above suggestion to SUE Al Gore to get him put back into his won Presidency, because of how easily and often in Primaries and the General these elections are stolen. Why take a chance? How do we get this started?

Or, maybe Al Gore, Dennis Kucinich and Ralph Nader. Things are so messed up in so many ways, it would take all their common good talents to turn around.

This could be very good versus a 2016 Presidential contest between very conservative right-wing Hillary Clinton vs outright Fascist Jeb Bush.

        • Bev

Oh, and then another Bush would steal another election. All the Bushs should be disqualified outright. And for Hillary Clinton to risk and abide by their criminal history and future criminal capacity is shameful.

        • Bev

Is this a way for Al Gore to strengthen his work on Climate Change and Fukushima, Dennis Kucinich to strengthen his work on Debt-Free Public Money to pay for jobs to address Climate Change and Fukushima, and Ralph Nader to strengthen his work to undo Fascism with corporate, government accountability to the public citizen? Then I am for it:

And probably the Supreme Court added to the problem at the end of the day.”

Dennis Kucinich’s life’s-work of HR 2990 The NEED Act would provide the funding for jobs to reduce dangers of Climate Change and Fukushima now and for the many generations it will take to address. Ralph Nader’s life’s-work prepares him to successfully increase corporate and government accountability to the public citizen and so stop Fascism. Those are the best people who should be made able to do their important life’s work for all our safety.

That would be so good for the common good. I love it.

  • Election fraud definitely overwhelmingly helps Republicans, as well as their attemps to suppress voting with voter id laws and a miriad of other things.

Ever see this? A computer programmer testifies that he was commissioned to write an undetectable electronic voting machine hacking program for Florida Republican Tom Feeney:

See: http://richardcharnin.com/ Richard Charnin (Truth Is All)
Election Fraud (1968-2012) Quantitative Analysis and True Vote Models

In 2000, Al Gore won the 540,000 recorded votes (48.4-47.9%). But the unadjusted state exit polls (58,000 respondents) indicated he won by 50.8-44.4%, a 6 million vote margin. There were nearly 6 million uncounted votes. The True Vote Model had him winning by 51.5-44.7%. But the Supreme Court awarded the election to Bush (271-267 EV). In Florida, 185,000 ballots were uncounted. The following states flipped from Gore in the exit poll to Bush in the recorded vote: AL AR AZ CO FL GA MO NC TN TX VA. Gore would have won the election if he captured just one of the states. Democracy died in this election.
      snip

The bedrock of the evidence derives from this undisputed fact: Final national and state exit polls are always forced to match the recorded vote – even if doing so requires an impossible turnout of prior election voters and implausible vote shares. All demographic categories are adjusted to conform to the recorded vote. To use these forced final exit polls as the basis for election research is unscientific and irresponsible. The research is based on the bogus premise that the recorded vote is sacrosanct and represents how people actually voted. Nothing can be further from the truth.

It is often stated that exit polls were very accurate in elections prior to 2004 but have
deviated sharply from the recorded vote since. That is a misconception. The UNADJUSTED exit polls have ALWAYS been accurate and closely matched the True Vote in 1988-2008. A comparison of ADJUSTED, PUBLISHED exit polls in elections prior to 2004 and PRELIMINARY exit polls since then is like comparing apples to oranges. The adjusted, published exit polls have always exactly matched the fraudulent RECORDED vote because they have been forced to do so. That’s why they APPEAR to have been accurate. The RECORDED vote has deviated from the TRUE VOTE in EVERY election
since 1968 –always favoring the Republicans.

      ………………………

Quoting Charnin from above: The following states flipped from Gore in the exit poll to Bush in the recorded vote: AL AR AZ CO FL GA MO NC TN TX VA. Gore would have won the election if he captured just one of the states. Democracy died in this election.

This means Gore won those states, even Texas, Bush’s state. We must get rid of electronic voting, scanning machines owned by the right-wing that remove or hide physical evidence.

Recommended #OWS Demand: Let ALL Citizens 18 and Older Vote, On Paper Ballots, Count Them in Public

I offer the following simple “demand” for consideration by OWS, as this one likely underscores almost every other. Or, at least, without it, all other demands may ultimately be rendered moot. Every U.S. citizen 18 years of age or older who wishes to vote, gets to vote. Period. Those votes, on hand-marked paper ballots, will be counted publicly, by hand, on Election Night, at the precinct, in front of all observers and video cameras.
      ………..

Or, voters could try a public vote, like roll call in Congress:

      See: Lynn Landes
      http://www.thelandesreport.com/VotingSecurity.htm

      The Case For Open Voting
Democracy demands transparency, not trust -Sign up and be counted

There is no transparency to our current voting system. Congress has legalized election fraud by allowing, if not mandating, non-transparent voting systems that prohibit direct access to a paper ballot and meaningful public oversight:

      ABSENTEE VOTING (1870’s)
      SECRET BALLOT (1880’s)
      VOTING MACHINES (1890’s)

I believe that there should be only one standard of voting for both our political representatives and voters. I believe that all voting should be open and public – no machines, no absentee or early voting, and no secret ballots. Secret ballots are really an anonymous ballots that corrupt election officials can count any way they want. Why one standard of voting for politicians and another for the public?

Under current circumstances, the only thing candidates and voters can do to find out how citizens really voted is to conduct their own CITIZEN AUDITS.

      Lynn Landes

SUMMATION: This is how, for all practical purposes, America’s voting process became completely nontransparent and highly vulnerable to vote fraud by a relatively small group of people.

Voting is the linchpin of democracy. And democracy demands transparency, not trust. Yet, there is no real transparency to the way Americans vote today. While our politicians are
required to vote publicly and openly, we citizens are held to a different standard – a lower standard. We vote remotely, privately and anonymously by machine, absentee, early, and secret ballot. It’s an invitation to massive and undetectable vote fraud. Things weren’t
      always this way.

BEFORE the Civil War, voting was a completely transparent process. It was only AFTER the Civil War, as the right to vote expanded to African Americans, that the voting process itself began to recede from public view and meaningful oversight. It started with absentee voting in the 1870’s, secret ballots in the 1880’s, and voting machines in the 1890’s. Today in America, 50% of all voting is by absentee or early, 95% of all votes are machine-processed, and 100% of all ballots are secret and anonymous. For the sake of convenience and ‘alleged’ voter protection, Congress has destroyed the transparency,
verifiability, and integrity of America’s voting process.

Making matters worse, our public voting system has been privatized and outsourced to a handful of domestic, foreign, and multi-national corporations, most of whom have close ties to the right wing of the Republican Party. Just two companies, ES&S and Diebold, started by two brothers, Bob and Todd Urosevich, electronically process (using
touchscreen machines or optical scanners), 80% of all votes. Their employees are in a perfect position to rig elections nation-wide. And evidence is mounting that elections in America have been computer programmed to prefer conservative candidates of both political parties.

Since we’re finally addressing one elephant in the living room- election fraud- why not the other? I.e., the utterly false left-right paradigm. It doesn’t matter which ‘party’ controls Congress or holds the White House, they ALL lead to bigger government, higher taxes, more war, and less freedom. They all lie, cheat, steal, and if necessary, are not above committing murder when needed (by proxy, of course- they would never dirty their own hands). As Max Keiser once said, there are in fact two parties controlling American politics: the have-nots, and “have-yachts”.

    Yes, Bush did win.
The issue before the supreme court wasn’t “who won?” (as so many gullible morons think), it was whether or not secretary of state Katharine Harris was legally authorized to submit the winning count within 30 days as she was compelled to do by law.
Even USA today along with other liberal rags admitted later on that Bush won by 537 votes.
I’m sorry that Bush won!, but Obama stinks too and the US public still don’t have any candidates that will preserve freedom.

      Gore’s Victory

      By Robert Parry
      November 12, 2001

So Al Gore was the choice of Florida’s voters — whether one counts hanging chads
or dimpled chads. That was the core finding of the eight news organizations that
conducted a review of disputed Florida ballots. By any chad measure, Gore won.

Gore won even if one doesn’t count the 15,000-25,000 votes that USA Today estimated Gore lost because of illegally designed “butterfly ballots,” or the hundreds of predominantly African-American voters who were falsely identified by the state as felons and turned away from the polls.

Gore won even if there’s no adjustment for George W. Bush’s windfall of about 290 votes from improperly counted military absentee ballots where lax standards were applied to Republican counties and strict standards to Democratic ones, a violation of fairness reported earlier by the Washington Post and the New York Times.

Put differently, George W. Bush was not the choice of Florida’s voters anymore than he was the choice of the American people….

She is easy to spot in the Zapruder films, running along the south side of Elm street just ahead of her father, Phil Willis. Phil Willis was taking 35mm slide films of the motorcade. Rosemary is seen running ahead and, suddenly, stopping! Rosemary showed me her father’s slides and a double-page center-spread from one of the Willis photos depicting the Grassy Knoll.

Her father’s photos had appeared in Look Magazine. One of the photos became a double-page spread. Rosemary and I placed the spread on a light table beside the original photo which had only recently been released by the FBI. Interestingly, those photos were seized AFTER Look had published.

“Do you notice anything unusual’, she asked me.

I looked again! It hit me like a brick! In the original slide there was NO train visible between the columns of the pergola.

But the train was CLEARLY visible in the Look magazine spread. Why? Rosemary explained that AFTER Look had published its piece the FBI came calling. They SEIZED all of Willis’ original photos. When she showed those photos to me, they had only recently been released, having been in FBI possession for years. The FBI –playing the role of ‘Big Bro’ –did not want people to verify that there had, indeed, been a train on the tracks at the very time that the fatal bullets were being fired.

    But why?

Then I recalled the ‘tramps’ who had been rousted earlier while hanging out in box cars behind the Grassy Knoll. Those tramps, as you recall, included Frank Sturgis and, the man whom I believe lead a team of assassins –E. Howard Hunt. As a result of my time spent discussing this with Rosemary, I became increasingly convinced that a team of shooters had targeted JFK; the box cars, the area behind the picket fence became a secured staging area.

Incidentally, just prior to the shooting George H.W. Bush was photographed with his hands in his
pocket ‘hanging around’ the front entrance of the TSBD.

AA Exposes Bush’s ‘Big Lie’: Flight 11 DID NOT FLY on 911!
by Len Hart, The Existentialist Cowboy

American Airlines is the source for information that AA Flights 11 (North Tower) and 77 (Pentagon) did not fly on 911. If neither flew on 911, the Bush ‘theory’ is a lie. If the Bush ‘theory’ is a lie, there remains only one explanation and that is: 911 was an inside job given a green-light by Bush himself.

These flights are critical to the the government’s crumbling cover up! Conan Doyle, the brilliant creator of the character Sherlock Holmes, said: “When you have eliminated the impossible whatever
remains however implausible must be the truth!” Bush’s official conspiracy theory of 911 is not only impossible, it’s absurd and insulting to intelligent people!

The Bush Conspiracy Theory is impossible! And it’s a Lie.
