What the World Could Be: 4 short videos to see economic solutions

“Project Censored is one of the organizations that we should listen to, to be assured that our newspapers and our broadcasting outlets are practicing thorough and ethical journalism.” – Walter Cronkite on Project Censored

What the World Could Be is a project aligned with Project Censored to communicate solutions to fundamental global issues. Their four short economics solutions videos are concise communication tools:

Introduction to solutions (2-minutes)

How Money is Created (1-minute)

Interest everywhere (6-minutes)

Public Banking: A Big Solution! (4-minutes)

If one understands the mechanics of creating what we use for money and so-called bank loans (credit creation), the answers are obvious to:

  • end the national debt
  • have full-employment for infrastructure investment (this results in falling prices because infrastructure creates more economic value than investment cost)
  • release trillions in so-called “rainy day” funds documented in government agencies’ comprehensive annual financial reports (CAFRs)

Complete explanation and documentation of these facts, offered as early as Benjamin Franklin’s pamphlet on how to operate governments without taxes (from colonial Pennsylvania’s application of obvious solutions):

And… it’s gone! The Fed and US could simply CANCEL all $5 trillion of intragovernmental debt

  • “It is absurd to say that our country can issue $30,000,000 in bonds and not $30,000,000 in currency. Both are promises to pay; but one promise fattens the usurer, and the other helps the people.”

Thinking in terms of money at all is shortsighted and reactionary. It doesn’t matter how you contort a competition-based society, it will still remain a competition-based society with all the vast suffering and inequality and crime and unrest and wars that such a society automatically generates. Splitting the planet into small tribes (aka nations) is also insanity when it leads to locking up of specific resources behind national borders and behind private ownership of things that should be common heritage of all mankind.

A real solution is to change out fundamental philosophy of living from competition-based to cooperation-based. Money and trade both should be abolished in favor of a science-based resource allocation policy that gives all humans everything they need to live great, free lives. This would also get the arrogant grandstanding jackasses currently running the world out of our collective hair.

Really! And where would the world be fifty years after such a strict scientific humanitarianism innovation, in a future we might name the Dictatorship of the Humanitarian Scientists? The over-population and scientific byproduct pollution would be so bad, not a human being would be left alive.

Your scientific humanitarianism is a suicidal belief system. It’s flaky-cuckoo, and known to be so by any cogent study of history. Such a common belief system entirely fails to take into account the infinite complexity of reality. You are in essence claiming science can solve all problems. Bullshit.

Look around, Jackass. All the really untenable problems of this world were created by science in that last few hundred years.

The Zeitgeist is a complete myth, THE BIG LIE if you will; a lie manufactured by those who would proclaim themselves the orator of Zeitgeist, whether they be scientific humanitarians, or some other fundamentalist religion. The Zeitgeist cannot and does not exist. There is no consciousness but individual consciousness.

You and Michael Rivero are full of scientific shit.

And another thing, since you have the rank and contentious scent of a one of these brain-dead blog commenters who probably thinks the BitCoin is mana from scientific solution-ville.

Tyler Durden at Zero Hedge has gone over the the Dark Side. He extolling the supposed virtue of the cleverly conned “virtual currency”, the BitCoin.

The BitCoin is entirely a creation of our own government. If it were not, the whole BitCoin populist movement would be prosecuted for being a criminal venture because of its shady underpinnings. People are being ripped-off by this scheme. And the government is clearly not doing anything about it. States are not taxing these transactions. That means this is another scientific invention condoned by the federal government, like derivatives, naked short-selling, payday lenders, the legalize pot movement, Oxycontin, ethanol, global warming lies, genetic engineering and state lotteries.

Science pretends to have all the solutions. In fact, science is the source and facilitators of all these heinous frauds.

America is in the business of making the world safe for the heinous frauds that the government condones and science creates. And you, and everyone like you who believes in this scientific humanitarianism crap, are just a stinking populist dupe.

I agree, and have written in support of both the resources you mention. That said, we won’t have serious factual consideration of any solution until the current leaders are exposed as criminal frauds.
