Like Edward Snowden, Benjamin Franklin Was Called a Traitor For Informing the People About the Actions of its Government

Parallels Between Snowden and the Founding Fathers

The Washington Times notes:

In 1773, Benjamin Franklin leaked confidential information by releasing letters written by then Lt. Governor of Massachusetts Thomas Hutchinson and his secretary Andrew Oliver to Thomas Whatley, an assistant to the British prime minister.

The letters contained opinions on how the British government should respond to colonial unrest over the Townsend Acts and other unpopular policies. Hutchinson suggested that it was impossible for the colonists to enjoy the same rights as subjects living in England and that “an abridgement of what are called English liberties” might be necessary.

The content of the letters was damaging to the British government.  Franklin was dismissed as colonial Postmaster General and endured an hour-long censure from British Solicitor General Alexander Wedderburn.

Like Snowden, Franklin was called a traitor for informing the people about the actions of its government. As Franklin’s biographer H.W. Brands writes;

“For an hour he hurled invective at Franklin, branding him a liar, a thief, the instigator of the insurrection in Massachusetts, an outcast from the company of all honest men, an ingrate whose attack on  Hutchinson betrayed nothing less than a desire to seize the governor’s office for himself. So slanderous was Wedderburn’s diatribe that no London paper would print it.”

Tyrants slandering patriots is nothing new. History decided that Franklin was a patriot. It was not so kind to the Hutchinsons and Wedderburns.

History will decide who the patriots were in the 21st century as well.

Ray McGovern – a 27-year CIA veteran, who chaired National Intelligence Estimates and personally delivered intelligence briefings to Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, their Vice Presidents, Secretaries of State, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and many other senior government officials – agrees:

Like Edward Snowden, Franklin was called a traitor for whistleblowing the truth about what the government was doing.

Indeed, while Snowden is treated as a traitor by the fatcats and elites, he is considered a hero by the American public and members of the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of government have all praised the debate on spying which Snowden’s leaks started.

And experts say that the type of spying the NSA is doing is exactly the kind of thing which King George imposed on the American colonists … which led to the Revolutionary War.

And what does the fact that some officials within the American government consider the Founding Fathers to be terrorists say about the current state of affairs?

It means these so-called leaders, like the Pillsbury Doughboy General,
former NSA chief and CIA director, have a vested interest in the
national security state and would be much happier and feel safer in a
totalitarian government in which they have positions of privilege.
Americans are so used to believing that all Americans believe in the
Bill of Rights that they are hugely naive about certain people in their
midst. Snowden’s actions have opened eyes, however. There is an enemy within, quite a few of them who are scandalized by the sentiments in the Declaration.

At very best, Edward Snowden can be painted as an apologist for NSA, its many subsidiaries and its various sovereign adjuncts around the world. Snowden is certainly no patriot, no more than CIA counter-intelligence-program spook Julian Assange is a patriot. Both these bad boys are employed by the CIA, and, they were trained by the same people and forced through the exact same mold that made them what they are in the world made wholly of controlled media.

Look how fast both Assange and Snowden became famous and infamous in the main stream media. That is a sure sign of the counter-intelligence-program of the CIA. Fame never so easily won.

Neither of these make-believe bad-boy-wonders (spooks) have given light to anything new. These bad boys are out there doing damage control and controlling the discussion about different bombshells that long ago landed, or were widely suspected due to minor leaks here and there in the course of doing the CIA’s business, by legislators, or that were made by slip of the tongue.

The alternative media has fallen for both these mouthpieces of the CIA. Some smitten revolutionaries of the alternative media, high on the scent of their own omniscience wafting like broken wind from between their legs, even go so far as to call these scumbags, patriots. P-U!

These boy-wonder goons are no more patriots than John Kerry was a patriot during his testimony on Capitol Hill during the Vietnam War. All the world is a stage. You have to learn to ignore these people, or you’ll go through life smelling like the only thing your ever eat is beans and beer.

These CIA actors are wholly created for your gullible consumption in order to turn you into just another pawn on the chess board. Their story line is so incredibly contrived, they should have no credibility whatsoever. But there are suckers born every minute. And many of those suckers run blog sites like this one.

Well said. I suspect the two are nothing more than ‘spoonfeeder agents.’

However, until that can be proven conclusively, without a shadow of a doubt, I have to give Snowden credit where credit is due.

As far as Assange: While he provided an outlet for the heroics of Bradley Manning and others, he censors information he deems too sensitive to (i.e. pertaining to 9/11), just as Alex Jones (another suspected ‘spoonfeeder’ agent) does not address the topic of 9/11 evidence nor Zionism. He (Assange) is, most likely, a shill.

Zionism is not the problem; Luciferianism is the problem. Zionists believe in Yahweh, Luciferians believe in Lucifer. NOT the same thing. The Bush’s and royal families pretend to be Protestant, but they are Luciferians. The Pope and his pedophile priests pretend to be Catholic, but they are Luciferians. This narrow-minded, at times blatantly anti-Semitic, focus on Zionism has infected the Patriot Movement to the point that it is effectively relegating the Patriot Movement to a fringe movement that will NEVER gain mass popularity.

As for Jones – are you mad? He allows neo-Nazis to post on the Infowars and Prison Planet comments sections 24/7, for years!!!!!! He is not a Zionist shill, he is a Luciferian shill, again, meant to demonize in the minds of the sheeple anyone looking into government corruption and cast them as being a double-digit IQ, white trash, scumbag neo-Nazi. Of course, his performance on Piers Morgan set the Patriot Movement back at least a decade. He gives mostly good info and then pisses on it, but a Zionist agent? You’ve got things a bit arse backwards.

        • alanh

Strange.. I never claimed him to be a ‘zionist’ agent.

I was pointing out the fact that he ignores the issue of Zionism entirely, in line with the agenda of the elite, who favor Zionism for now in the present phase of their Hegelian Dialectic tactic.

It is is true, that the global elite are comprised primarily of closeted Luciferians… They also practice Kabbalah, but that is not the issue nor relevant to this discussion. And to claim all those who oppose Zionism are ‘anti-semitic’ is nonsense. For one to simply recognize the totalitarian nature of a radical political movement such as that is not the same as being racist, as much as Zionists often claim that is the case, in order to divert attention from the facts at hand. Are you aware Palestinians are technically a Semitic people? While it is common for Zionists to make (legitimately) racist remarks about Palestinians, it only serves to reveal their true nature: That most Zionists are, paradoxically, legitimately anti-Semitic..

Now the only person here I would wager is Zionist shill, based on the revealing nature of what was stated above, would be you.

          • bariola

First, I never called you a Zionist agent or insinuated as much. I don’t know where you got that from.

Second, I said that at times the anti-Zionists are blatantly anti-Semitic.

Third, I fully condemn Israel for their genocidal acts towards the Palestinians.

Fourth, although Jones does not overtly mention Zionists, he does mention the banksters every day. Not all banksters are Jewish but many are. This stems back to medieval times when only Jews were allowed to loan money at interest, per the Pope. If they were highly skilled lke the Rothschidls, they could become hofjuden – court Jews in servitude to royalty. If they lost money for their royal benefactors the consequences could be dire. But, as I said, Jones allows blatant Jew-bashing on his comments sections 24/7.

I am not Zionist agent, I am a Patriot. I believe that good and bad people come in all colors, ethnicities and religions. Do you?

          • alanh

Thank you for clarifying your point.. It appears we’re likely on the same page, after all.

          • bariola

As Lord Acton said over a century ago, “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” That appears to be the truth for all places and times and peoples throughout history, and no doubt prior to historical records as well. It’s a very unfortunate part of the human condition.

          • bariola

Re: the Kabbalah – that is one of a myriad of mystery religions that comprise the NWO.

          • alanh

            Indeed.

Among those practiced by the ‘elite’: the Kabbalah, Hermeticism, Gnosticism, Druidism, the ancient Canaanite religion (e.g. worship of Baal, Molech, Astarte), Neoplatonism, Luciferianism, Enochian magick, among others of the occult & esoteric variety.

          • Tonto

You two are couple of Internet fruitcakes.

            BLOW IT OUT YOUR ASS.

          • alanh

A mature, reasoned response, reflective of your intellectual capacity (or lack thereof) to debate others without resorting to nonsensical ad hominem attacks, instantly invalidating your argument to begin with..

            TL;DR: You’re a retard.

I’m not sure that the Founding Fathers considered the North American
colonist militias as “terrorists”, but the British rulers certainly did.
A newspaper column of mine in a small town in Florida a couple of years
ago rashly mentioned that fact of history, with the result that the
paper was banned from the local junior high school. The fact would have scarred the poor little children for life, no? I can see Washington’s Blog being banned, too, any day now! I published the banned column in a blog-post in April this year; it may interest some readers here.

Both Franklin and Snowden have common enemies – the Jewish elites and their Christian poodles. Franklin is called ‘antisemite’ even today for warning Americans of Jewish power. Snowden is also demonized by pro-Israel American leaders like Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Sen. Lindsey Graham and Nancy Pelosi.

The one statement you refer to by Franklin is considered to be a fraud that wasn’t “discovered” until the 1930′s. I don’t suppose you can actually give me a verifiable source for it, can you neo-Nazi?

Humility, smallness, simplicity, decency ….. The mountain does not overshadow the plain around it. Such modest consideration from a superior person creates a channel through which excess flows to the needy. Success if you carry things through.

The cosmos is moving toward equilibrium. Extremes are being tempered, excess is beginning to shift toward the empty. You can use these moderating influences to strike a balance in the world around you. Remember though, that this leveling will not come about through an arrogant confiscation of excess, but through subtler persuasion. Modesty and moderation are the keys.

The destinies of men are subject to immutable laws that must fulfill themselves. But man has it in his power to shape his fate, according to behavior exposes him/her to the influences of benevolent or of destructive forces.

It is the law of Heaven to make fullness empty and to make full what is modest; when the sun is at its Zenith, it must, according to the law of heaven, turn toward its setting, and at its nadir it rises to a new dawn. (Iching, Hexagram 15)

Edward Snowden– The censoring centralized world media tells us that you have disclosed highly classified information but you never mention, (like Assange), the Israeli terrorist attack on the United States on 9/11. Why?

  • http://bigdanblogger.blogspot.com/ Big Dan

911 “truthers” annoy me, there’s no evidence of a “conspiracy”……….(you know, BESIDES all the mountain of evidence, right Julian? there’s no evidence……..besides the evidence. notice he doesn’t say there’s not a SHRED of evidence backing the “official story”)
What about 9/11? “I’m constantly annoyed that people are distracted by false conspiracies such as 9/11, when all around we provide evidence of real conspiracies, for war or mass financial fraud.”

Assange is certainly an NWO tool. I recall reading about “leaks” which supports the war on terror/Al Qaeda myth. If Assange was a real patriot, he would’ve told the world how the Western global mafia runs Al CIA Duh.

  • Carl_Herman

Wow, the history we revisit that we’ve forgotten! I teach history and try to keep these points in mind, but this is one of those I say, “Oh, yeah…. that was huge.”

The purpose of history is to understand the present. GW nails this to keep in mind that the leaders among the 99% are the ones who will be honored, and those propagandists for the 1% will be seen for what they are: lying parasites.

Since when did Washington Blog fill up with the nonsensical shill comments one would expect on YouTube…

  • h5mind

The Founders based the Constitution on common sense ideals like those found in the Magna Carta and practiced in contemporary social contracts like the Iroquois Confederacy. The concept of inalienable, individual freedoms and personal responsibility has always run contrary to tyrannical control, whether it comes in the form of the NWO or any of the various ‘isms’. One man’s freedom fighter will always be another’s “terrorist” . I personally don’t care if Snowden, Assange, or Alex Jones are shills, CIA plants, or Zionist lackeys, as long as they’re shooting the same direction as I am when the time comes.
