The Stunning Hypocrisy of the U.S. Government

Government Hypocrisy Is the Core Problem

Congress has exempted itself from the prohibition against trading on inside information … the law that got Martha Stewart and many other people thrown in jail.

There are many other ways in which the hypocrisy of the politicians in D.C. is hurting our country.

Washington politicians say we have to slash basic services, and yet waste hundreds of billions of dollars on counter-productive boondoggles. If the politicos just stopped throwing money at corporate welfare queens, military and security boondoggles and pork, harmful quantitative easing, unnecessary nuclear subsidies, the failed war on drugs, and other wasted and counter-productive expenses, we wouldn’t need to impose austerity on the people.

The D.C. politicians said that the giant failed banks couldn’t be nationalized, because that would be socialism. Instead of temporarily nationalizing them and then spinning them off to the private sector – or breaking them up – the politicians have bailed them out to the tune of many tens of billions of dollars each year, and created a system where all of the profits are privatized, and all of the losses socialized.

Obama and Congress promised help for struggling homeowners, and passed numerous bills that they claimed would rescue the little guy. But every single one of these bills actually bails out the banks … and doesn’t really help the homeowner.

The Federal Reserve promises to do everything possible to reduce unemployment. But its policies are actually destroying jobs.

Many D.C. politicians pay lip service to helping the little guy … while pushing policies which have driven inequality to levels surpassing slave-owning societies.

The D.C. regulators pretend that they are being tough on the big banks, but are actually doing everything they can to help cover up their sins.

Many have pointed out Obama’s hypocrisy in slamming Bush’s spying programs … and then expanding them (millions more).

And in slamming China’s cyber-warfare … while doing the same thing.

And – while the Obama administration is spying on everyone in the country – it is at the same time the most secretive administration ever (background). That’s despite Obama saying he’s running the most transparent administration ever.

Glenn Greenwald – the Guardian reporter who broke the NSA spying revelations – has documented for many years the hypocritical use of leaks by the government to make itself look good … while throwing the book at anyone who leaks information embarrassing to the government.

Greenwald notes today:

Prior to Barack Obama’s inauguration, there were a grand total of three prosecutions of leakers under the Espionage Act (including the prosecution of Dan Ellsberg by the Nixon DOJ). That’s because the statute is so broad that even the US government has largely refrained from using it. But during the Obama presidency, there are now seven such prosecutions: more than double the number under all prior US presidents combined.

Please read this rather good summary in this morning’s New York Times of the worldwide debate Snowden has enabled – how these disclosures have “set off a national debate over the proper limits of government surveillance” and “opened an unprecedented window on the details of surveillance by the NSA, including its compilation of logs of virtually all telephone calls in the United States and its collection of e-mails of foreigners from the major American Internet companies, including Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Apple and Skype” – and ask yourself: has Snowden actually does anything to bring “injury to the United States”, or has he performed an immense public service?

The irony is obvious: the same people who are building a ubiquitous surveillance system to spy on everyone in the world, including their own citizens, are now accusing the person who exposed it of “espionage”. It seems clear that the people who are actually bringing “injury to the United States” are those who are waging war on basic tenets of transparency and secretly constructing a mass and often illegal and unconstitutional surveillance apparatus aimed at American citizens – and those who are lying to the American people and its Congress about what they’re doing – rather than those who are devoted to informing the American people that this is being done.

The Obama administration leaks classified information continuously. They do it to glorify the President, or manipulate public opinion, or even to help produce a pre-election propaganda film about the Osama bin Laden raid. The Obama administration does not hate unauthorized leaks of classified information. They are more responsible for such leaks than anyone.

What they hate are leaks that embarrass them or expose their wrongdoing. Those are the only kinds of leaks that are prosecuted. It’s a completely one-sided and manipulative abuse of secrecy laws. It’s all designed to ensure that the only information we as citizens can learn is what they want us to learn because it makes them look good. The only leaks they’re interested in severely punishing are those that undermine them politically. The “enemy” they’re seeking to keep ignorant with selective and excessive leak prosecutions are not The Terrorists or The Chinese Communists. It’s the American people.

The Terrorists already knew, and have long known, that the US government is doing everything possible to surveil their telephonic and internet communications. The Chinese have long known, and have repeatedly said, that the US is hacking into both their governmental and civilian systems (just as the Chinese are doing to the US). The Russians have long known that the US and UK try to intercept the conversations of their leaders just as the Russians do to the US and the UK.

They haven’t learned anything from these disclosures that they didn’t already well know. [He’s right.] The people who have learned things they didn’t already know are American citizens who have no connection to terrorism or foreign intelligence, as well as hundreds of millions of citizens around the world about whom the same is true. What they have learned is that the vast bulk of this surveillance apparatus is directed not at the Chinese or Russian governments or the Terrorists, but at them.

And that is precisely why the US government is so furious and will bring its full weight to bear against these disclosures. What has been “harmed” is not the national security of the US but the ability of its political leaders to work against their own citizens and citizens around the world in the dark, with zero transparency or real accountability. If anything is a crime, it’s that secret, unaccountable and deceitful behavior: not the shining of light on it.

It has gotten so blatant that even New Yorker comic Andy Borowitz is lampooning the hypocrisy coming out of Washington:

At a press conference to discuss the accusations, an N.S.A. spokesman surprised observers by announcing the spying charges against Mr. Snowden with a totally straight face.

“These charges send a clear message,” the spokesman said. “In the United States, you can’t spy on people.”

“The American people have the right to assume that their private documents will remain private and won’t be collected by someone in the government for his own purposes.”

“Only by bringing Mr. Snowden to justice can we safeguard the most precious of American rights: privacy,” added the spokesman, apparently serious.

Similarly, journalists who act as mere stenographers for the government who never criticize in more than a superficial fashion are protected and rewarded … but reporters who actually report on government misdeeds are prosecuted and harassed.

Further, the biggest terrorism fearmongers themselves actually support terrorism. And see this.

In the name of fighting terrorism, the U.S. has been directly supporting Al Qaeda and other terrorists and providing them arms, money and logistical support in Syria, Libya, Mali, Bosnia, Chechnya, Iran, and many other countries … both before and after 9/11. And see this.

The American government has long labeled foreigners as terrorists for doing what America does.

Moreover, government officials may brand Americans as potential terrorists if they peacefully protest, complain about the taste of their water, or do any number of other normal, all-American things.

This is especially hypocritical given that liberals like Noam Chomsky and conservatives like the director of the National Security Agency under Ronald Reagan (Lt. General William Odom) all say that the American government is the world’s largest purveyor of terrorism.

As General Odom noted:

Because the United States itself has a long record of supporting terrorists and using terrorist tactics, the slogans of today’s war on terrorism merely makes the United States look hypocritical to the rest of the world.

These are just a couple of ways in which the D.C. politicians are hypocrites.

    What’s the solution?

      Accountability Party!

      Let’s Party! 😉

  • Sean

The solution is super simple! Stop participating! Stop using their credit, stop buying their products (buy local) use cash only, stop voting (its all a fraud anyhow), stop buying insurance (its a scam anyhow) resist taxation on every level, do not fight in their wars. Problem solved. Only you can give these criminals power, without you they are nothing but shitsucking vermin.

    Newsflash: governments are hypocritical!
They tell you not to steal, yet they finance their operations through theft.
They tell you not to kill, yet they start wars.
They tell you not to counterfeit, yet they inflate the currency.
    Ad infinitum, ad nauseum.
As long as we believe that one group of people gets to do what they want because they are called government, and the rest of us have to play by the rules, we will have these problems.

Clare Daly – Truth Teller Extraordinaire Slams the Slobbering Sycophants

Man, this is powerful and so encouraging! Watch this wonderful woman burn with Truth in the face of these fawning hypocrites. Clare Daly, independent member of Parliament in Ireland, asks about all
the slobbering over the American President and his family by Irish Government officials on the recent visit by the Obamas after the G8 summit held in Co. Fermanagh.

Civilization is controlled by the people who are the best at being dishonest, and backing that up with violence. The government of the USA has always been hypocritical. The only new thing is that technology is driving that to astronomically amplified sizes, which is making it more blatantly obvious.

On a deeper level, impossible ideals make the opposite happen in the real world. The only way not to be a hypocrite is to accept that human civilization is always systems of organized lies, operating organized robberies. Politics should be attempting to build better dynamic equilibria between the different systems of organized lies and robberies. However, too many Americans have been too brainwashed to believe in false fundamental dichotomies. Since Americans believed in impossible ideals, they were naturally set up to have the opposite things actually happen more and more in the real world.

The government of the USA has been taken over by the application of the methods of organized crime, spreading out through its monetary system, to every other system, automatically getting worse at an exponential rate. The only way that that runaway social insanity might be ameliorated could be if enough people understood that they were members of an organized crime gang. Instead, they still believe too much in the bullshit social stories promoted by the biggest bullies. In particular, the biggest gangsters that effectively control the government of the USA are the banksters.

What is happening in the USA can best be understood by studying the funding of the political processes. There are strong correlations between who funded politics (& who did NOT) and all of systems of legalized lies, backed by legalized violence that currently exist. All one has to do is look at the list of which people and corporations have funded American politics, and who did not, to understand everything stated in this article above.

In order to not be hypocritical, it would be necessary to be realistic, rather than promote ridiculously impossible ideals, based on false fundamental dichotomies. Governments are always the best organized criminals, covertly controlled by the very best of them. Governments are always the biggest terrorist organizations, covertly controlled by the best terrorists, who can murder their opponents the most effectively.

Money is backed by murder, and must necessarily be. That is the basic fact which should be understood at the real foundation of all politics. Since the vast majority of Americans do not understand that, and do not want to understand that, therefore, they are incompetent citizens, who routinely either do not vote, or else vote for the best professional liars and immaculate hypocrites which can fool enough of the people enough of the time.

Since this Web site is called “WashingtonsBlog,” I will repeat this quote which is allegedly attributed to President George Washington:

“Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master.”

Government is an energy system. It should be understood that way. However, the paradoxical ways that governments have developed were through warfare creating War Kings, that made sovereign states, which were then covertly taken over by Fraud Kings. The history of warfare was always that success depended upon deceits. There is nothing new in the government of the USA being hypocritical, except for the technologies which are amplifying that trillions of times.

What is necessary is profound paradigm shifts in our political science. The problem is that the oldest and best developed social science was warfare, while success in war depended upon backing up dishonesty with destruction. One way to approach how deep that dilemma goes is to appreciate that our understanding of the concept of entropy is backwards, and therefore, the ways that we understand all energy systems is backwards. When the entropy equations were first developed, an arbitrary minus sign was inserted, in order that the measurements of power would end up having positive values, rather than negative values. When thermodynamics was extrapolated into information theory, that same profound philosophical error was continued.

In fact, all power and information always have negative values. We live in a Bizarro Mirror World, where everything is proportionately backwards, because we perceive everything in profoundly backwards ways. Therefore, the best professional liars and immaculate hypocrites are able to take a cake walk through controlling other people.

The DEEPER problem that arises with recognizing that the government of the USA has become stunningly hypocritical is that most people then presume that the “solutions” to that are to return to impossible ideals, understood through false fundamental dichotomies. Instead, the real resolutions to these runaway social insanities are to change our ideals to become more realistic. However, to do that enough citizens would have to understand that their citizenship IS basically their membership in an organized crime gang.

To understand WHY the government of the USA has become so stunningly hypocritical, in every aspect, and on every level that one examines, one has to understand how the banksters were able to take control of that government, by taking control over the monetary and taxation systems, through the feedbacks in all facets of the funding of the political processes. In order to understand that, one MUST understand that MONEY IS BACKED BY MURDER. That is real foundation of our civilization, and the only genuine solutions are to attempt to maintain better dynamic equilibria between the different systems of organized lies, operating organized robberies. Since far too few people understand those basic social facts, therefore, the best professional liars and immaculate hypocrites have been able to become too successful at controlling the government.

Hypocritical society thrives on secrecy. Here’s an example of suppressed knowledge. Spread the most classic secret, the supreme grand secret of the “lodge”, which,
thanks to modern medicine, can be printed on a bumper sticker:
VAGAL STIMULATION IS AS EFFECTIVE AS LSD. Behind the old “Iron Curtain”
there was a disease recognized that is
deceitfully diagnosed to be schizophrenia in the West. It was called “shamans’
disease” and is caused by scar tissue in the parasympathetic (muscarinic)
nervous system. This nervous system is called “muscarinic” after the hallucinogenic drug
muscarine, found in the fly aminita mushroom; and, muscarine doesn’t cross the
blood brain barrier. It works by exciting the whole muscarinic nervous system
and thereby overriding the inhibitory neurons in the brain. But, it is unpopular
in the West due to the way it excites the digestive system.
This has been kept secret by those who cash in on this secrecy, occult
secrecy. In yoga, the plexuses of the muscarinic nervous system are called
chakras, presented to the common people as “spiritual wheels of light along the
spine”, but they are not in the spine, they are the major plexuses of the
parasympathetic nervous system in the body.
This muscarinic nervous system stimulation is called “kundalini” in yoga,
and when yoga students reach the degree where they are allowed to know the truth
about their own bodies they must sign contracts of secrecy.
So, your children may have only acquired scar tissue in their
parasympathetic nervous systems, which can be treated medically other ways, but,
there are dopamine blockers to be sold, and, special interests want to keep
    their profitable secrets.
Of course one international organization is behind this, a well known
secret society, whose “temple” represents the human body, and whose “holy of
holies” represents where the largest muscarinic nerve, the vagus nerve, emerges
from the brain into the body in the nasopharynx.
LSD used to be used to carry out a horrible treatment called the
“Clockwork Orange” treatment. Here the victim has over 50% of the brain awakened
consciously for use. It is called by “Grof Transpersonal”, “perinatal matrix three”, and
here the victim experiences all the sufferings of people shown in a film by
going backward and forward in time to inhabit each and every body shown,
experiencing their torments as real as life.
Today this is being done by exciting the parasympathetic nervous system by
“waterboarding”. It was mentioned in an article about this, in a popular news magazine,
that “efforts were made to have the water irritate the nasopharynx”, where the main trunk of the
vagus nerve emerges from the brain, proceeding down into the body.
Crucifixion also causes so much muscarinic nervous system stimulation that
the victim will body switch into everyone he knows. God knows everyone, so it is
known that Jesus Christ is in you and I and everyone this way.
When a “schizophrenic” patient has more that 50% of the brain consciously
awakened (it shows on an MRI) they are catatonic, but they are out body switching
into everyone and every character they have seen, even in every movie they ever saw. Less severe
schizophrenic symptoms occur with brain use percentages less than 50%.
The solution, to establish better treatment for our children, and fellow man, is to spread
this knowledge to common public knowledge.
