Archeologists Discover Mayan Hieroglyphs Showing the World Continuing for Thousands of Years Past 2012

No Mayan Apocalypse in 2012

A new Reuters-Ispos poll shows that 10% of the global population believe the following statement:

The Mayan calendar, which some say ‘ends’ in 2012, marks the end of the world.

Of course, the Mayans themselves didn’t believe the world would end in 2012.

Indeed, archeologists have just found a cache of Mayan calendars which goes thousands of years past 2012:

I guess the flaky new age writers and Mexican tourist agencies will have to come up with another angle.

  • The apocalypse will come from the walking dead, those who are physically alive now, but whose brains are long dead.

  • Pretty bad! Everyone expects Apocalypse for the end of 2012!

  • There’s always some new theme or angle to make others believe in non-sense. Such ‘end-of-the-world’ predictions have been going on since the dawn of mankind. When the end does come, don’t worry, you wont be here anyway. We have more pressing concerns to worry about, such as job income levels decreasing, and rampant unemployment…by the way, care to buy a new 3D 80 inch led TV so you can watch doomsday scenarios on a big screen?

There you go. Buy a big screen T.V. made in communist China to add to almost everything else in the house made there and watch the doomsday scenario unfold

Aw darn! I have really been looking forward to a great end of the world party.

Perhaps it marks the end of an era of stupidity and we can regain our common sense and love for this planet and each other and make more meaningful lives for ourselves.

  • I always remind people to practice yoga; so when the time comes you can bend over and kiss your sorry ass goodbye!
    Remember Fukashima?

The apocalypse will come if that a-h obma is re-elected. Otherwise it will be more of the same till China takes over the world or there is WW3 with the Mushlims. I think I’ll go out and buy another 80″ tv.

Never did believe end of the world to begin with…..and I heard this in the early 1990’s….Dec.2012,Dec.21…///

  • Apocalypse does not mean the world is ending. Wish people would use a dictionary once in their life…

There are two easy answers here. One is that the ending ~5125 year cycle means “The End of the World”, the other is that this cycle is meaningless. What they have in common is that neither requires much further thought.

Since the 5125 year cycle is one fifth of a great year or precession cycle (5 x 5125 = 25625), and the Mayans count this ending cycle as fourth in the series of five, this end point was never a realistic candidate for “End of the World”. Mankind survived the last three transitions, and is quite likely to survive this one.

It is also obvious that the Mayans were not around ~20,500 years ago, and someone gifted them with this very accurate calendar system and its traditions, some say it was the Olmecs, but we are uncertian of its actual origin.
Perhaps by the end of the fifth age man will understand this cycle?

  • This is about CONSCIOUSNESS changes in the main. And that’s been happening on earth BIGTIME over the last 20 years. The big one came in 1989 in the UK/Europe. If you don’t recognize what I’m talking about then – lucky you – you’ll probably not have to worry past the equinox next year.

What we have is some historic misinformation confusing this situation. Take the bible for example and the apocalypse. Take a look at the original writings in Greek. Take a look at what apocaypse means in the original greek. Find it is defined precisely as An apocalypse (Ancient Greek: ἀποκάλυψις apocálypsis, from ἀπό and καλύπτω meaning ‘un-covering’), translated literally from Greek refers to a revelation of something hidden.

We are already in the apocalypse. The information that has been hidden from us is being unveiled, economically, socially, politically, spiritually. The truth is moving into the mainstream, slowly but surely, and this is bringing about the revolution. The real revolution is the spiritual one, but because the current power structure won’t adapt to how this change is playing out in the human social world, the people’s inner desires for more individual liberty is being transformed into an outer desire for change in the environment they live in.

This is peaking in a couple of weeks but has been building for some time, most intensely since 2008, when secrets started being unveiled rapidly.
