3-minute video: Obama rejects dogmatic, narrow view of the Jedi; chooses war

Auferre, trucidare, rapere, falsis nominibus imperium; atque, ubi solitudinem faciunt, pacem appellant.” – Tacitus, Agricola, (98), ch. 30.

Translation: “To ravage, to slaughter, to usurp under false titles, they call empire; and where they make a desert, they call it peace.” – Oxford Revised Translation, Project Gutenberg.

Tacitus is quoting the British chief, Calgacus, in his speech to British soldiers, stating the irony between Rome’s acts of empire and the inscription upon Roman medals of “peace given to the world.” Solitudinem faciunt, pacem appellant. “They make a desert, and call it peace” is often quoted alone.

“We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. It is not merely that at present the rule of naked force obtains almost everywhere… Bully-worship, under various disguises, has become a universal religion, and such truisms as that a machine-gun is still a machine-gun even when a “good” man is squeezing the trigger… have turned into heresies.” – George Orwell, Review of Power: A New Social Analysis by Bertrand Russell in Adelphi (January 1939)

Derrick C. Crowe’s 3-minute video compares President Obama’s 2009 rejection speech of peace (and here) to the widely popular Star Wars artistic presentation of a republic descending into fascism.

The strategy to destroy constitutional limits in Star Wars was a false flag attack, which is one planned strategy by the US government to kill Americans, blame Iran, and launch a “defensive” war.

Please let one of Mr. Obama’s lies in the video sink in:

“But as a head of state sworn to protect and defend my nation,…”

The President of the United States has the same sworn duty of all men and women in our military and government in how to protect and defend his nation: to support and defend the Constitution. The lie is the rejection of the laws of war demanded by our Constitution, and replaced with unlawful Wars of Aggression with rhetoric of “protect and defend my nation,” as all tyrants spin their offensive wars.

President Obama’s lies continue a history of US “leadership/1%” lies that propagandize wars of aggression.

The response of the 99% is to recognize the crimes, arrest the criminal 1%, and create policy for 100% of Earth’s inhabitants.

    And it’s on to Iran.

    Good luck, Obi Wan!

I like the Star Wars metaphor! Still, nothing new. History repeats itself, like Tacitus’ quote shows just too well. The question being: how does the 99% stop the 1%?
